A source close to the situation revealed that the "Jenny From The Block" singer is seething with anger and humiliation as the "Argo" actor reportedly delays filing for divorce in a bid to "protect" her from more embarrassment.

"She's furious," the source told Page Six. "He has humiliated her. He was the one who initiated getting back together."

The embattled couple initially dated from 2002 to 2004 before rekindling their love story in July 2021, after Lopez split from her former fiancé, Alex Rodriguez, in April of that year.

They've not been pictured together in recent months and have been spotted without their wedding rings on several occasions.

The insider told the news outlet that Affleck "humiliated her because she made a big deal that he's the love of her life," adding, "They just had two weddings two years ago. This is some kind of a record, they're not young kids."

With their whirlwind romance and lavish wedding now reduced to a messy split, the "Hustlers" actress is seemingly left reeling from the effect it would have on both their respective children.

Affleck shares three children, Violet, 18, Fin, 17, and Samuel, 12, with ex-wife Jennifer Garner, while Lopez has 16-year-old twins Emme and Max with ex-husband Marc Anthony.

The couple were understood to have aimed for a blended family as they snapped up their Beverly Hills "dream home" for $60 million over a year ago.

"There are five kids involved in this," the source shared. "She knew they were going to blend families. She has not fully accepted it is over."

Reports suggest Lopez and Affleck's icy treatment of each other has prevented their divorce proceedings from moving forward.

According to TMZ, sources disclosed that the "Let's Get Loud" singer and the Oscar winner are no longer talking to each other either on the phone or in person, which has halted their divorce proceedings.

They reportedly signed a prenup, and the only asset they would be dividing is their Beverly Hills mansion, which they've since placed on the market for $68 million.

Quite surprisingly, Lopez and Affleck have not lawyered up yet and have only been settling things via their respective business managers, who are reportedly trying to sort out the financial statement behind the divorce.

An insider previously alluded to the divorce rumors when they told Fox News that Lopez and Affleck are "not getting back together."

"Ben didn't come to celebrate Jennifer's birthday because they are done," the source shared. "Totally done. They are not getting back together.

"They are not communicating right now," the insider added. "If she wants to talk to his kids, she goes straight to the kids. Same with him."

Affleck recently snubbed Lopez's 55th birthday celebration to finalize the purchase of a $20.5 million "bachelor pad" mansion in the Pacific Palisades area of Los Angeles.

The couple have been staying on different sides of the coast after placing their Beverly Hills marital home on sale for $68 million.

Affleck had been staying in a $100k-a-month Brentwood rental home close to his ex-wife, Jennifer Garner, before buying the new "bachelor pad," a move that has been described as a "final insult" to Lopez.

A source told Radar Online, "Ben's decision to move into his own home is the final insult. JLO had been holding onto hope that there could be a reconciliation if they were to spend some time apart, but this is like a stab in the heart."

Meanwhile, the "Ain't Your Mama" singer recently checked out a $68 million LA mansion with her child Emme and a real estate agent. Lopez did not wear her wedding ring to the property, which is about 15 minutes away from her and Affleck's marital residence.
