Katy Perry Shamed With Bikini Body That Should 'Lay Off' The Ice Cream

Katy Perry has everyone and their mother thinking that her 2024 weight loss is down to Ozempic, but she was rocking a curvier figure in 2023. Enjoying the French sunshine as she and fiance Orlando Bloom hit the beach last year, Katy sizzled in a skimpy bikini and sunhat, and the photos didn't take long to gain comments. While fans deem the 39-year-old too skinny this year, they were doing the opposite last summer — seemingly, Katy is either getting called too big or too thin. Body-shaming remarks left to The Daily Mail saw a fanbase hurling abuse at Katy, who arguably looked super fit.

Looking a little fuller-figured ahead of her weight loss, Katy relaxed in her brown bikini, showing off her flat stomach and curvy hips as she accessorized her swimwear with an open white shirt. Opting out of any posing, the "Woman's World" hitmaker flashed hints of her legs, with lightweight jewelry and red-tinted shades completing her look.

Possibly giving a nod to her motherhood, Katy carried a child-sized wetsuit over one arm, although the photos did not include daughter Daisy, now age 3. The pop sensation was also makeup-free, with Pirates of the Caribbean star Orlando seen shirtless and looking muscular. Comments began as users challenged The Daily Mail's description of Katy Perry as looking "incredible."

"Nothing incredible about it.. she looks like an average adult female," one fan said. Suggesting that the singer is fat, another wrote: "Incredible figure'? 'Slightly chubby' is more accurate." Going as far as using the word, another replied: "She looks fat to me," with a further fan saying: "Katy needs to lay off the ice cream and get to sharting. I don't know what Orlando sees in her."

Also circulating last month was the above photo as Katy stripped down to a stylish purple bikini in St.Tropez. Wowing with her toned abs on display, the former American Idol judge rocked thin straps and a tight bandeau finish, flaunting her slimmed-down waist and legs while soaking up the sun. The shots came shortly after the July 11 release of Katy's comeback "Woman's World" track.
