Ben Affleck & Jennifer Lopez's Divorce Process 'Moving Slowly' As They Are No Longer Speaking

Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck are reportedly giving each other the silent treatment amid their alleged Marital woes.

Reports about an "imminent" divorce between the pair have intensified, but sources close to them claim that their break in communication has caused the process to slow down.

Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez reportedly have a prenup in place but are yet to lawyer up for their potential split.

Sources close to Affleck and Lopez have told TMZ that they're no longer talking to each other on the phone or in person, which has affected their divorce proceedings.

The embattled couple is also said to have a prenup in place. The only asset they would be dividing is their Beverly Hills mansion, which they've placed on the market for $68 million.

According to the news outlet, Affleck and Lopez have yet to secure the services of a legal representative and have only been settling scores via their respective business managers, who are trying to sort out the financial statement behind the divorce.

Everything seems to point toward an amicable divorce for the pair, as sources say no documents will be filed until they settle.

The Hollywood stars are also expected to hire attorneys to file legal documents requesting a divorce in the coming days. A judge will then sign the documents and close the case.

The pair were reportedly "in a rush" to sell their Beverly Hills home, for which they had paid $60 million in May last year.

However, after placing it on the market for $68 million, they have yet to secure a buyer. It is unlikely that the sale of their marital  mansion will affect their alleged separation as the divorce papers "are finalized, but not yet turned in."

"They finalized the divorce papers with her a month ago, but are waiting for the right time to drop them," a source told the Daily Mail. "At that time, they will release a joint statement that will say how they have much love for each other and how they fought to make it work, but couldn't."

Another source said, "Honestly, in the end, they could not come to a compromise. What they had before is gone and they have both accepted it."

On Lopez's 55th birthday, Affleck seemed to shade her by purchasing a $20.5 million bachelor pad.

According to People Magazine, the actor closed escrow on the stunning mansion in the Pacific Palisades area of Los Angeles on July 24, the same day Lopez marked her 55th milestone.

Affleck's new mansion has five bedrooms, six bathrooms, breakfast and dining spaces, and a separate family room. It also has a den, walk-in closets, a movie room, a powder room, a guest house, and more.

The actor's decision to buy the property is being branded as the "final insult" to Lopez.

An insider told Radar Online, "JLo had been holding onto hope that there could be a reconciliation if they were to spend some time apart, but this is like a stab in the heart."

The "Argo" actor seems to have undergone a major makeover. He was recently seen taking a walk through a parking lot before hopping onto an electric motorcycle and heading to an unknown destination.

Though Affleck's choice of vehicle was unusual for him, it was his edgy new look that caught everyone's attention.

Photos from the scene showed Affleck sporting a tiny faux-hawk, with the sides of his head almost completely shaved and the remaining hair styled forward towards his forehead.

He seemed to be embracing a rocker vibe, wearing a Red Hot Chili Peppers t-shirt underneath a black biker jacket paired with skinny jeans and dark aviators.

According to the Daily Mail, Affleck was also without his wedding ring, a detail that has been observed multiple times in the weeks since rumors about the breakdown of his marriage to Lopez began circulating.

Affleck's new edgy look has since gone viral on social media, with some netizens on X (formerly Twitter) branding it a "midlife crisis" and others claiming the actor doesn't look great with his new haircut.
