A man who attended country music singer Morgan Wallen’s concert at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City on August 3 has been hit with a felony charge for making a “terroristic threat” against Kansas City Chiefs players, including stars Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce, who were both present at the event.

The Jackson County Prosecutor’s Office reported that the individual made threats on social media, targeting “two members of the Kansas City Chiefs organization” who were at the concert.

Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes, the Chiefs’ tight end and quarterback, respectively, were visible in a video shared by Mahomes' wife, Brittany, as they joined Morgan Wallen onstage.

According to the prosecutor’s office, the Morgan Wallen concert was delayed by 40 minutes while Kansas City police detectives tracked down and arrested the suspect, later identified as Aaron Brown of Illinois.

Brown is facing a Class E felony charge of "making a terrorist threat in the 2nd degree." While a $15,000 bond was initially set, prosecutors are seeking a $250,000 cash bond.

Billboard has obtained court records revealing that Brown posted on X, the social media platform formerly known as Twitter, threatening to take a shot if Morgan Wallen “brings out [redacted] or [redacted].”

An interview with Brown’s girlfriend disclosed that he was using a “burner” account that he and his friends use to “tweet stupid stuff.” She also mentioned that Brown, a fan of a rival NFL team, made the threat while driving from The Lake of the Ozarks to Kansas City, Missouri, to the concert in Kansas City.

At the time, she told Brown not to post the tweet as she realized it was “more serious,” but he did anyway, saying nobody would read it. They later decided to delete the tweet, the court records stated.

"She stated while at the concert, Brown's phone began receiving direct messages from the same number indicating they were the police and needed to speak with them. She then realized it was 'legit,'" the records added, noting that at approximately 9:33 p.m., "plain clothes officers were standing at the top of the 122/123 stairwell and observed Brown and his girlfriend walking away from the section to the main hallway of the floor level."

"Plain clothes officers approached them and identified themselves as police officers. Brown identified himself to officers and was placed on an investigative hold for terroristic threats," the docs continue.

When questioned by investigators after his arrest at the concert, Brown admitted, “It was a stupid, stupid, stupid mistake” to post the threat. He also stated he made the post "due to stupidity and arrogance," per the court records.
