Taylor Swift just brought down the house, although it was quite a tiny house, after capping off an iconic Grammys performance that has elevated the singing sensation to the new queen of The Shire. Taylor was one of the most anticipated live performances of the evening at the 63rd Grammy Awards, which took place at the Los Angeles Convention Center with many COVID-19 practices in place, including the elimination of a live audience and many presenters featured via live stream.
Millions of T-Swift’s fans were delighted when she took the stage and revealed a magical forest with a small cabin set into the Earth, which was extremely reminiscent of the small dwelling of the Hobbits in J.R.R. Tolkein’s “Lord Of the Rings” franchise.
“I really want to live in Taylor Swift’s mossy hobbit house,” one fan wrote on Twitter during the performance.
“I’ve never seen lord of the rings, but I assume I don’t need to after watching Taylor swifts performance. Like this is where the hobbit lives, 100%,” another social media user declared.

Taylor Swift ended up performing three songs; “Cardigan,” “August,” and “Willow,” from her “folklore” album.
Within moments of the performance, “Hobbit” began trending on Twitter as fans could not help but make the fun connection to the storied home of Frodo Baggins.
It also turns out that die-hard fans of “Lord of the Rings” and Taylor Swift can visit the real shire-folk with a trip to New Zealand’s famed Hobbiton. Serving as the location for “Lord of the Rings,” the Hobbit residences were re-built after the movie wrapped and allow fans to experience Middle Earth for themselves.
