The comedian recounted how she once turned to Craigslist for some extra cash. "I would say my name is Rosalinda andclaim to be Halle Berry's housekeeper, offering to sell her dirty panties. I made $300 a pop. It was all on Craigslist," she confessed.

During the candid chat with Nick Cannon and his co-hosts on his We Playin' Spades podcast, she did not disclose whether Berry ever found out about this peculiar hustle. 

This revelation is just one of many fascinating tales from Haddish's journey from hardship to Hollywood stardom.

After leaving her Craigslist hustle behind, Haddish expanded her creative horizons with various projects, including one that channeled her previous homelessness. 

Last year, The Blast reported that Haddish shared details about her documentary that focuses on successful women who have formed long-term relationships with homeless men. The author expressed her passion about breaking the stigma associated with it. 

"I experienced homelessness myself and found that there was a stigma on it that I don't think should be there. Everyone deserves to be loved. Everyone deserves to have someone supporting them and caring for them – not necessarily carrying them all the way," she shared.

Haddish also emphasized the importance of highlighting these stories, stating, "It's really important for people to make sure that they know that because it's really hard to be homeless. So many people are isolated and living on the streets alone."

Before her rise to Hollywood stardom, the "Night School" star shared a creative yet desperate strategy she used to survive: crashing weddings to get free food and drinks. She admitted that she targeted weddings at hotels in Westchester, Los Angeles. 

"I've crashed weddings before, given a speech, and didn't know anybody there. That's when I was homeless and hungry," Haddish confessed. Recalling those days, the TV personality described how she would blend in with wedding guests. 

"I would have two or three drinks, and then I would grab the microphone and be like, 'I just want to say that you are the most beautiful couple.' Everybody would be looking at me like, 'Who is this black girl at our wedding?''' she reminisced.

Behind the glitz and glamor of Haddish's career lies a series of challenges, including recent heavy criticism over a video she made during a visit to Zimbabwe.

The Blast shared that the star faced backlash after her TikTok video, showing her experience at a Zimbabwean grocery store, went viral. 

Responding to the criticism, Haddish took to X (formerly Twitter) to clarify her intentions and defend herself. She explained that her video aimed to challenge the misleading portrayals of Africa by foreign media, particularly regarding how people purchase food.

"We got here and I have been eyes full of tears finding out the truth. The media be lying. I thought I would share 'cause I know people in the USA that believe Africans don't have anything," she stated.

Haddish emphasized her positive experience in Zimbabwe, noting that she felt safer there than in her home city of Los Angeles. The stand-up comedian also praised the quality of the natural food and encouraged others to visit Africa and see the reality for themselves.

The TikTok video, which went viral, sparked a wave of criticism from users who felt Haddish displayed ignorance about African countries.

Critics labeled her response as "ignorant," with some even resorting to harsh insults, calling her a "f—king idiot" and accusing her of mocking Zimbabwean people.

Questions arose about why Haddish felt compelled to record and share her reaction to the supermarket. 

Others also accused her of perpetuating harmful stereotypes about Africa, reflecting a lack of understanding about the continent's progress and daily life.
