Jessica Simpson In See-Through Top Criticized For 'Milk' Photo

Jessica Simpson wasn't given an easy time as she promoted dairy milk on Instagram earlier this year. In February, the 43-year-old actress and fashion designer hit pause on promoting her Jessica Simpson Style brand, instead switching to good, old-fashioned milk. Posing in a sheer tank top as she held a glass of the white stuff, Jessica highlighted her toned figure for an eye-catching snap, but it was the milk angering fans. While early responses saw the Dukes of Hazzard star slammed by the non-dairy police, newer replies have since defended her — in a nutshell, the comments section is now a mix of pro-dairy fans and the oat/soy/almond brigade.

Ditching her signature Daisy Dukes, the blonde stuck to a simple white tank, going semi-sheer and ribbed as the fabrics hugged her curves. Staying safe as she flashed a black bra beneath her top, Jessica added a dark pair of sweatpants, with a slight crop to the top peeping her abs.

Showing some serious muscle tone around her arms and shoulder, Jessica reminded fans of the 100 pounds she dropped back in 2019, when trainer Harley Pasternak revealed another dairy favorite of hers — parmesan cheese. Looking confident with a direct gaze and her light locks mostly tied back, Jessica told her fans: "Milk…does a body good." She also tagged @gonnaneedmilk while confirming that her post was an ad.

Over 800 fans liked a comment slamming the whole thing. "Milk is for baby cows not humans," the user wrote. Also popular and gaining over 200 likes was a comment reading: "No it doesn't!!! Once you are done breastfeeding off your mother.. that's it!! We are not supposed to drink cows milk!! Our bodies do not produce the enzymes to break it down!! That's why so many are "lactose intolerant" stop pushing this narrative!!!"

The pro-dairy team has now had the time for their comments to gain likes. Backing Jessica Simpson's decision to promote milk, one user wrote: "I can’t imagine giving oat milk to my toddler. I was raised on cow's milk and I’m perfectly healthy."

"Love milk! Working with a nutritionist, it was suggested and has been so beneficial to my overall health!" another added. The post gained over 36,000 likes, overall. It also wouldn't be the first ad making headlines for Jessica.

Jessica Simpson turned heads with her SKIMS endorsement last year, stripping down to a neon green bikini from mogul Kim Kardashian's brand while rocking hot pink platforms from her own.
