"Saturday Night Live" host Colin Jost is helping to promote safe sex at the 2024 Paris Olympics by becoming the one and only "Sex Santa."

Intimacy at the 2024 Paris Olympics has been a hot topic after it was revealed that 200,000 male condoms, 20,000 female condoms, and 10,000 oral dams had been provided for use in the Olympic Village.

The condom packaging reads, “On the field of love, play fair [and] ask for consent” and “Fair play, safe play: Consent first.” Others state, “Score a win: Yes to consent, no to STDs,” “Don't share more than victory: Protect yourself against STDs,” and ”No need to be a gold medalist to wear it.”

Colin Jost Throws Condoms While At The 2024 Olympics In Tahiti

Condoms have seemingly been a staple for Olympians since at least the 1988 Seoul Games. They reached a record high of 450,000 during the 2016 Rio Olympics, and back in 2008, they even had a catchy motto, "Faster, Higher, Stronger," at the Beijing Games.

During an episode of "Olympic Highlights With Kevin Hart and Kenan Thompson," Colin Jost described the interesting living situation for the surfers. “Some are staying with families here … but then there’s a whole group of athletes that are also staying on this kind of weird cruise ship that’s just parked out in the harbor," he said. “They always talk about the Olympics Villages and how many condoms they give out for all the athletes."

"With the cruise ship, I’ve been going by on a jet ski and sort of just [throwing] condoms … like a Sex Santa," he added.

Colin Jost was chosen as a correspondent for the 2024 Paris Olympics, where he has been reporting live from Tahiti during the surfing competitions.

“I’m honored to get to watch the best surfers in the world compete on one of the heaviest waves imaginable, and to help showcase the rich history of surfing in Tahiti,” Jost said in a statement, per Us Weekly, ahead of the 2024 Olympic Games. “And my Writer’s Guild health insurance is excited to see what the coral reef does to my back.”

However, things quickly took a turn for the worse after the Games officially began on July 26.

During his Olympic coverage from Tahiti, Colin Jost had a run-in with ants, leaving his feet covered in bites.

“This might ruin my WikiFeet score, but I just arrived in Tahiti for the surfing Olympics, and the reef was excited to greet me,” he captioned an Instagram photo of his foot.

He later updated America, joking, “I’m apparently going to a medical tent after this, which is very exciting."

In addition to ants, Jost had a battle with reef sharks. “My producers are great,” Jost mentioned to NBC Sports broadcaster Maria Taylor, when she inquired about the activities he has enjoyed in Tahiti. “I was put into water with a bunch of reef sharks and then they literally chummed the water. All the sharks came to me and I was told, ‘Don’t worry, they’re only 5 feet long. Don’t worry, they’re like dogs.'”

But that’s not all—chickens even interrupted Jost's coverage earlier this week. “I apologize that we were a little delayed getting to you. You’re not gonna believe it based on this yard full of chickens, but we had some technical difficulties,” he said, pointing to the birds behind him.

The "Saturday Night Live" comedian hasn't had the best of luck when reporting from Tahiti. In addition to the several run-ins with animals, Jost also battled an ear infection.

“I woke up this morning and discovered that I had added ear infection to my growing list of ailments,” he revealed earlier this week. “So I’m now on three different medications — four if you count piña coladas.”

He had some fun with the whole situation though, as he teased that his “new goal” for covering the Games was “to have as many infections as there are Olympic events."

"I’m hoping that then I could be high enough on medicine that when I get to Paris, I could compete in Olympic breakdancing," he joked.
