MyKayla Skinner seems bitter about Simone Biles' recent comment about her "work ethic" remarks.

The former artistic gymnast who competed with Team USA at the 2020 Tokyo Games allegedly blocked Biles on Instagram. The move comes weeks after Skinner apologized for her controversial comments.

The drama between MyKayla Skinner and Simone Biles started in June after the former athlete criticized the new Team USA as talentless gymnasts.

Following her Instagram response to Skinner's controversial words, Biles took to X with an update about the situation. Although she did not mention her former teammate's name, the 27-year-old wrote, "oop I've been blocked."

A fellow member of the U.S. women's artistic gymnastics team, Jordan Chiles, confirmed Skinner had blocked Biles on her Instagram Story. She shared a picture of someone's phone, presumably Biles, showing Skinner's Instagram page.

Unlike the former gymnast's active page, the account on the phone showed "no posts yet" with Skinner's followers and following numbers hidden. "When she blocks Simone," Chiles captioned the post.

Fans Troll Skinner For Blocking Biles

Skinner has received no love or support from several gymnastics fans, and blocking Biles didn't help her case. Many slammed her actions on X, with one fan dubbing her a "hater."

"We love you, Simone, and are very proud of you and your accomplishments, and Team USA on GOLD!!!!. Ignore the haters!!! You are a Standard Bearer!" the individual penned.

"Sometimes the trash takes itself out. And I always block back," an X user wrote, while another noted, "Can dish it but can't take it. Shock." A fourth added, "Don't go messing with Simone, folks. Just. Don't."

Inside Biles' Response To Skinner's Comments

The Blast reported that the USA's artistic gymnastics team won the gold medal for their category at the 2024 Olympics, and Biles commemorated their victory with a response to Skinner.

She shared several pictures from her squad's celebratory moment on Instagram, capturing her, Suni Lee, Jordan Chiles, Jade Carey, and Hezly Rivera whooping joyfully while holding their country's flag.

Biles captioned the post with a diss at Skinner, writing, "Lack of talent, lazy, Olympic champions." Her words referenced her former teammate's criticisms about Team USA's gymnastics squad in a since-deleted YouTube video.

Skinner Slammed Team USA's 'Work Ethic'

Although Skinner deleted the controversial video, a clip of her comments made waves on social media platforms like X. In the footage, she bashed the Team USA squad's "work ethic," saying:

"Besides Simone, I feel like the talent and the depth just isn't like what it used to be. Just notice, like, I mean, obviously, a lot of girls don't work as hard. The girls just don't have the work ethic."

Skinner was forced to swallow her words following immense backlash and apologized on July 3. She claimed her words were "misinterpreted" and "wasn't always necessarily about the current team."

"I love and support all the girls that made it, and I'm so proud of them. It was more about going back into my own gym," Skinner explained, noting the "worth ethic"was different from former team coordinator Márta Károlyi's era.

Skinner and Biles were former teammates at the 2020 Olympics, with The Blast noting the former gymnast earned a silver medal for Team USA in the vault event.

Skinner replaced Biles after she could no longer compete due to her mental state. It marked the former's debut as an Olympian despite her being a gymnast since 2000.

Although the 2020 Olympics marked her first time in the spotlight, Skinner was an alternate for the 2016 Olympic team. She scored the best in fourth place at trials but didn't make the primary team.

While MyKayla Skinner has a silver medal, Simone Biles became a five-time Olympic gold medalist at the 2024 Paris Games and holds eight medals in total.
