Kameron Westcott opened up about her close-knit friendship with Kary Brittingham during an interview with Entertainment Tonight, via video chat, on March 9.
Amid the fifth season of "The Real Housewives of Dallas," Westcott said that when it comes to her relationship with Brittingham, who she co-hosts the "Kam & Kary Do Dallas" podcast with, the two of them completely hit it off during filming on the currently airing episodes in 2020.
"Whenever we were filming, we would go home and we'd call each other and we'd talk on the phone for hours," Westcott recalled.
Kameron Westcott Believes She And Kary Brittingham Are Opposites
"And the fun thing about Kary and I is that she is so opposite than me. She is, like, there's no filter at all. And then sometimes, I have a little too much filter … so I think it's a really good dynamic," Westcott continued. "It's like we're total opposites. So I really think it's fun when we hang out because you never know what you're going to get."
As fans of "The Real Housewives of Dallas" well know, Brittingham joined the cast of the Bravo reality series during season four but it wasn't until season five when she and Westcott really zoned in on each other.
Kameron Westcott Believes Kary Brittingham Isn't As 'Pushy' As She Seems On 'RHOD'
Although Brittingham has certainly won over many fans during her past two seasons on the show, Westcott believes there's another side to Brittingham that viewers haven't seen and hopes they will tune into their podcast to get to know her better.
During season five, Brittingham came off a bit harsh while interacting with D'Andra Simmons and Dr. Tiffany Moon, who was new to the series for season five.
"I don't know what it is, but I feel like the way it comes off on the show, she comes off a little bit more pushy than she really is," Westcott noted.
Kameron Westcott Doesn't Want Kary Brittingham To Be Perceived As A 'Villain'
"It makes me sad because she kind of looks like a villain this season and I don't consider her a villain. I think she's just fun and she wants everyone else to have fun, and if you're not having fun, she wants to make sure there's a way you can have fun," Westcott explained.
Also during her interview with Entertainment Tonight, Westcott opened up about her drama with Dr. Moon, stating that while she and the anesthesiologist didn't hit it off, she initially believed they would be close.
Kameron Westcott Wanted To Be A 'Big Sister' To Dr. Tiffany Moon
"I actually took her out and I was so excited," Westcott recalled. "And I was like, 'Oh, I want to be a big sister to you,' and, 'Let me know how I can help you in every way. I'm here for you.' And we all were so excited -- and we're so beyond thankful Tiffany joined our cast, we're very thankful for that -- and we've kind of been on a journey through this whole season.”
To see more of Westcott, Brittingham, and their cast mates, don't miss new episodes of "The Real Housewives of Dallas" season five on Tuesday nights at 9/8c on Bravo.
