'RHONJ' Star Margaret Josephs Talks Marriage Issues With Husband Joe Benigno, Season 11 Drama

Margaret Josephs is opening up about the marriage issues she faced with husband Joe Benigno while filming the currently airing 11th season of "The Real Housewives of New Jersey" in 2020.

While appearing on Us Weekly's podcast, "Getting Real With the Real Housewives" on March 12, Josephs said that she faced a particularly challenging year amid production on the new episodes.

“The most challenging thing for me this season was that I had some emotional issues with my husband in public that I normally don’t do," she admitted.

"I think the whole season was about personal relationships, but I’m my authentic self and I think dealing with that in front of everybody was difficult,” Josephs continued.

In the trailer clip for "The Real Housewives of New Jersey," which was first teased months ago, Josephs was seen losing it on Benigno and accusing him of starting a "f-cking sh-tstorm."

Although fans will have to wait and see exactly went down between the couple, who wed in 2013, they are in a good place today.

As Josephs and Benigno maintain a healthy marriage off-screen, the drama between Teresa Giudice and Jackie Goldschneider has seemingly taken over the show. 

As "Real Housewives of New Jersey" fans will recall, Goldschneider offended Giudice by using an analogy about her daughter potentially using drugs to prove a point about why Giudice should have never spread a false rumor about her husband, Evan Goldschneider, cheating on her at the gym.

While Josephs attempted to mediate the situation by having them meet at her home, Giudice and Goldschneider's feud only blew up further.

After the ladies engaged in a screaming match, Josephs was hopeful for a reconciliation but now believes that the drama between them was simply a misunderstanding. 

“I think Jackie made an analogy that Teresa didn’t realize was an analogy and I think when anybody brings up your child, you automatically go on autopilot,” Josephs stated. “What Jackie was saying it was so baseless, it was so far-fetched."

Although Goldschneider made it clear that Gia Giudice was certainly not using drugs, the idea made her mother flip her top.

"Obviously, in hindsight, it wasn’t the best analogy, and you can’t really bring up people’s children, but you know, Jackie’s an attorney and she argues like an attorney and it just went south,” Josephs recalled.

In addition to Giudice's drama with Goldschneider, the longtime reality star also faced drama with her brother, Joe Gorga, after she shockingly defended her ex-husband, Joe Giudice during filming.
