These role models defined what "it meant to live a life of purpose," and they inspired Legend to use his fame for greater purposes like uplifting the Black community. In his words:

"I had a vision for myself that day and have been living that aspiration ever since. I know it's important for me to use my platform to give back."

Legend wasn't the only celebrity supporting Harris's presidential campaign, as The Blast shared a list of entertainment industry giants in her corner. The A-listers included singers Charli XCX, Ariana Grande, and Barbra Streisand.

Hollywood veterans like Mark Hamill and Jamie Lee Curtis also made the list alongside director Spike Lee and Beyoncé's mother, Tina Knowles. Although Queen Bey has not publicly endorsed Harris, she supported her campaign with permission to use her hit 2016 song, "Freedom."

Although John Legend and other big names are in Kamala Harris' corner, the question is how their support will influence the presidential race. Will voters go for the Democrat or choose Republican Donald Trump?
