Dolores Catania has no regrets when it comes to her time on "The Real Housewives of New Jersey."
After filming five seasons of the Bravo reality series with her co-stars and friends, Catania spoke toPage Sixabout the mindset and principles she keeps during tense moments and drama with her cast mates.
“I have a blueprint for life. I have my principles and I have morals and values that I don’t deviate from, even if it’s not the popular decision,” she said.

According to Catania, she keeps her morals in the front of her mind because she knows that as long as she's doing so, she won't have any regrets about her behavior and choices.
“And then I can’t regret it. It’s not always the easiest, but I’ve never regretted doing what I thought was right,” she explained.
During the most recent episode of the "Real Housewives of New Jersey," Catania was seen advising Jennifer Aydin to tell Melissa Gorga about the rumors Michelle Pais was spreading in regard to her husband Joe Gorga owing her and her husband money.

“Once it’s put in your lap, now you have to do something about it,” Catania continued. “Life is like that. Things will fall in your lap and you have to decide — your true character is how you decide how to handle it. We’re all faced with that all the time. So if Jennifer didn’t handle it, I would have, because now I know — now it’s my information. And whether it’s going to be ‘kill the messenger’ or not, I still have to do what I think is right.”

Looking back, Catania said she's glad she agreed to join the cast full-time after appearing in cameo roles during early seasons.
“I have so much more to offer now,” Catania said. “I’ve experienced life in so many different ways, and I like being able to share that with younger girls who can maybe learn from my mistakes or my stories or my experiences.”
Still, that doesn't make exposing dark moments any easier.
“Every single fight is hard. It’s hard to watch because it’s real. It’s not scripted,” she confessed

“We’re so close and we go through so much together and the stress of it — it’s not easy. A lot of people are like, ‘Oh, I want to be a ‘Housewife.” But, you know, it’s not what you think it is. I wouldn’t trade it for anything, but it’s not the easiest job to do,” Catania added.
