Hollywood power couple Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively announced in February last year that they'd quietly welcomed their fourth child; however, they remained hush on the sex of the child.

The reveal by Ryan Reynolds comes amid the release of his new movie, "Deadpool & Wolverine," to rave reviews.
Ryan Reynolds Confirms Newborn Baby Is A Boy
The "Deadpool" actor shared the news in a documentary that had him connecting with a father who had recently lost his son to mental health challenges.
In the clip, shared to Instagram, Reynolds can be seen bonding with John Bell, a Wrexham AFC fan who lost his son Jake but channeled his grief for a good cause.
Reynolds empathized with him over his loss and also disclosed the type of bond he'd love to share with his youngest child, revealing that it's a boy.
"The resilience it takes to, you know, put one foot in front of the other as many times as you've done it, and transmute that much grief into something powerfully useful," the actor said, referencing Bell's laudable acts. "I'm very grateful that you shared his story."
He added, "I want to share with you that I too have a son and that if … boy, John, if I love him one-tenth as much as you love Jake, I feel like I've done a pretty damn good job."
Reynolds and Lively share three other children: James, 9; Inez, 7; and Betty, 4.

The 47-year-old actor patiently sat as the grieving father recounted the memories he shared with his late son.
Bell, who dressed as Jake's favorite comic book character, Deadpool, recounted his experiences while also advocating for mental health struggles by carrying a bathtub.
"Where do I start? He was just so funny, so comical — and we did everything together. He was my firstborn son. He was just absolutely everything to me," Bell told the actor, adding that he was in "a very dark place" after losing Jake.
"I was planning my own death and talking myself into staying because my family needs me, my kids need me," he added, per People magazine. "What I do now keeps me alive daily because I've made my peace with death. I'm gonna be reunited with him at some point, but it damn right ain't now."
Ryan Reynolds Jokes About His New 'Vasectomy' Cocktail
Reynolds whipped up a special version of his signature Vasectomy Cocktail, a drink he has promoted for Father's Day over the past few years.
"It's Father's Day, and because somehow I keep having kids, this year we're going to take our annual Vasectomy up a notch with Aviation Gin: Deadpool Edition," he started in the clip, per People, nodding to his famous Marvel character.
The father of four went on to show how to craft the tongue-in-cheek cocktail.
"First, you're going to take an ice-filled glass, and you're going to add 1 ounce of cranberry juice. Then, you're going to add 3 ounces of tonic," Reynolds instructed.
He paused and noted, "Oh that's that's Betty Buzz. I wonder what other surprises we have in store," referring to his wife - Blake Lively's line of sparkling drinks.
Blake Lively Shares Story Of How She Met Her Husband On The Set Of 'Green Lantern'
Amid the baby news, Lively recently shared details about how she and Reynolds met before eventually tying the knot in 2012.
Lively took to Instagram to share photos of her time on the red carpet premiere of "Deadpool & Wolverine" in New York City on Friday, July 26, where she spoke about her Ladypool character.
"In 2010, I was on Gossip Girl and about to film my first superhero movie, 'The Green Lantern,' with my kind Canadian costar @vancityreynolds," Lively wrote, recalling that her husband first told her and their costar Taika Waititi about Marvel's Deadpool character.
"It was a 'meta' superhero," she wrote in a caption. "Most of us didn't know what exactly meta meant back then. Except Taika bc he's always been more brilliant than the rest of us mortals. We understood in theory, but how it would come together for an audience was murky, for everyone but him. It wasn't a real dream. The movie was never gonna happen."

"The Age Of Adeline" actress went further to claim that the comic book artist and co-creator, Rob Liefeld, first thought of the idea of a Lady Deadpool in 2010 and based it on her because he was a fan of the "Gossip Girl" series.
"Just before all this in 2010, @robliefeld drew an unmasked Lady Deadpool for the first time, go to the next slide for his words. @deadpoolmovie wasn't real. And Rob had no idea I was working with @vancityreynolds," Lively wrote in the caption, tagging her husband, Reynolds.
"12 years later I read Rob's post. A year after that, @deadpoolmovie 3 was filmed," she added. "And today it's in theaters. The universe has such a magical sense of humor sometimes."
