Weeks after a shocking encounter between the group was teased in the trailer clip for “The Real Housewives of New Jersey” season 11, Catania sat down for a video interview with Entertainment Tonight and said that when it comes to the feud, fans are in for some major drama.
“You don’t even know!” she shared. “That’s an epic scene. That’s crazy. It’s crazy, and the emotion, the visceral reaction, the raw hurt.”
Frank Catania Attempted To ‘Mediate’
“At one point, somebody turned to me — I’m not going to say who it was — and then they said, ‘I didn’t think I still had that in me. I didn’t think I still had those feelings inside of me,’” Catania recalled.
Catania went on to reveal that during the heated argument between Giudice and the Gorgas, her ex-husband, Frank, did his best to intervene and allow them to find a resolve.
“Frank [was] trying to be a mediator in between, we’re trying to make things stop getting more out of hand than they are,” she explained.
Dolores Catania Was Left To Clean Up The Mess
Looking back, Catania said she found it “funny” that she and Frank, a divorced couple, were left to clean up the mess of the evening after their “Real Housewives of New Jersey” cast mates went home.
“And we just look at each other like, ‘Holy sh-t, what just happened?’ I can tell you that even the producers were emotionally drained,” she said.
“It was emotionally draining,” she continued. “It had lot of sadness. But I also feel like it was very cathartic, which a lot of times situations like that are. But what always scares me is when it airs and those emotions come back up.”
Dolores Catania Addresses Her ‘RHONJ’ Season 11 Outburst
In addition to the upcoming drama between Giudice and the Gorgas, Catania said she also faced her own on-camera drama during filming on season 11. In fact, in the trailer, she was seen accusing everyone of “talking behind [her] back.”
“It’s such a Jersey thing, right?” Catania said while addressing her outburst. “You’ll have to stay tuned, but here I can explain my frustration. In my life — and the way I live it is — if you’re my friend, I consider you family. I’ve given a lot of freedom to my friends to be very vocal on my relationship, because if you’re my friend, then you have the right to an opinion of what’s going on in my life.”
Dolores Catania Suggests Someone Crossed A Boundary
“You don’t have to understand it,” she added. “I’m going to listen to it. I’m not going to get mad at you for saying something maybe I don’t want to hear, because that’s the respect I have for you, but when you cross a boundary, and it’s no longer to my face, now you’ve lost that respect from me.”
To see more of Catania, Giudice, the Gorgas, and their “Real Housewives of New Jersey” cast mates, don’t miss new episodes of the reality series’ 11th season, which air every Wednesday night at 9/8c on Bravo.
