Gymnast Aly Raisman All Legs With Determined Childhood Stretch

Olympic gymnast Aly Raisman's "determined" childhood face is proving as steely-strong as her jaw-dropping muscle machine of a body. The 26-year-old athlete today took her 2.1 million Instagram followers on a giant trip down memory lane, posting a rare throwback to her early gymnast days and showing that still being a child had no lessening effect on her capabilities. All upper body strength as she supported herself with both legs extended up and feet pointed, Aly showed her fans what making it from a young age means. Check it out below.

Scroll for the photo. It comes as Aly largely takes a gentler look over her past – last year brought a raw reveal over depression Aly suffered following the 2016 Olympics, with the star admitting she could "barely" walk up stairs without a struggle.

The photo, a black-and-white one, showed the 2012 "Fierce Five" and 2016 "Final Five" captain back in the day and training in a gym while looking, well, as determined as determined gets. Aly was in her leotard and she was showing why it's become her trademark look.

Balancing herself on two wooden blocks with her hyper-extended legs in front of her and high up in the air, Aly was using her arms to hold herself up, showing off immense strength as she wore a patterned leotard. Focused eyes were zooming in on the perfectly-pointed feet, with a caption seeing the Silk Milk partner write:

"Little me! Look at that determination on my face."

Aly who has revealed "cartwheeling all over the house, bumping into furniture, and knocking things over" back in the day, is now bringing the house down in the comments section. "Little you was more ripped than I could ever hope to be," one fan replied, with another writing: "Look at those muscles! Dang girl!"

"How old were you here? My little girl is in gymnastics right now and I love seeing what it does for her confidence, her determination and her spirit!!" a third wrote. See more photos below!

Aly, who now fronts Club Pilates, has been making headlines for revealing a side to the gentle exercise that some might not anticipate. Pilates helped the Boston resident get back on her feet following low times five years ago, with Raisman also using meditation and her adorable gardening as self-care, a side to her Instagram that comes tender. Likewise showcased as a form of self-care is blue-eyed dog Mylo, a pup who recently surprised fans with his ace swimming skills.
