Sandra Bullock is about to hit 60 and is reportedly "doing okay" as she approaches the milestone one year after the death of her partner, Bryan Randall.
The Academy Award-winning actress has been enjoying a hiatus from her film career to spend more time with her family.
However, Sandra Bullock might be ending her hiatus soon, as she has hinted at a sequel to "Speed" with Keanu Reeves and is also said to be teaming up with Nicole Kidman for another film sequel.
Sandra Bullock Is Celebrating A Milestone In Her Life
Bullock is about to mark her 60th birthday, a huge milestone after a period of grief in the actress's life.
The Hollywood star is also about to mark the one-year anniversary of the death of her partner, Bryan Randall, who passed away after a battle with ALS.
A source close to Jennifer Aniston, a good friend of Bullock, spoke to People magazine about how the actress is doing as she gears up for the 60th birthday celebration on July 26.
The source noted that Bullock is doing well and is surrounded by love and support from her family and friends.
"She's doing okay now," the source said. "Her kids are amazing. She's very happy to be a mom. Her friends gave her the support that she needed both during his illness and afterwards. She is grateful for all the love. Everyone helped to lift her up after Bryan passed."
Sandra Bullock's Partner's Death Was 'Incredibly Stressful' For Her
After Randall's passing, a source revealed that the "Bird Box" star was grappling with the profound loss of her partner and was "learning to manage her grief."
The insider said Bullock's priority is her children: "She's struggling to stay strong and [is] picking up the pieces for her children."
According to Radar Online, the source added that the years leading to her boyfriend's death have been "incredibly stressful and heartbreaking for her."
Sandra Bullock Took A Break From Her Film Career
Randall's devastating death happened almost two years after Bullock announced a break from her film career.
The "Gravity" actress stated that she needed "to take a pause" from acting and producing to spend more quality time with her family, especially her two kids.
Bullock's last film project before her break was "The Lost City." During an interview with CBS News, the actress noted that she knew the project would be her last film for some time because she "would just love to clean out the basement."
Bullock also discussed the hiatus in an interview with Entertainment Tonight.
She said, "I need to be in the place that makes me happiest. I take my job very seriously when I'm at work, and it's [a 24/7 job]. And I just want to be 24/7 with my babies and my family."
Sandra Bullock Has Hinted At A New Film Project
Bullock's hiatus has been ongoing since 2022, but it seems that the actress might soon return to Hollywood.
During the 30th anniversary of her film "Speed," Bullock and co-star Keany Reeves were featured on the 50 MPH podcast and hinted at working together again.
When the host asked the pair to push for a third film in the "Speed" franchise, Bullock and Reeves agreed.
She said, "Before I die, before I leave this planet, I do think that Keanu and I need to do something in front of the camera. Are we, you know, in wheelchairs or with walkers? Maybe. Maybe."
Reeves also shared that he would definitely do another film with Bullock, whether it's a sequel to "Speed" or an entirely different project.
He stated, "It does feel like it's — there is a siren call to it. I think I would love to work with you again before our eyes close. We'd freakin' knock it out of the park."
Sandra Bullock Has Another Project In The Works
Aside from Reeves, Bullock is also poised for a film reunion with Nicole Kidman.
According to a People Magazine report in June, the "Oceans 8" actress wants to make a sequel to "Practical Magic," their hit romance fantasy film from 1998.
At the time, Kidman spoke about the movie and Bullock's feature. She said, "Yes I will be in it. And Sandy will be in it. And that's that. There's a lot more to tell which is why we go, 'OK, this is kind of interesting now to be able to do this.' We found a way in."
The first "Practical Magic" film was based on Alice Hoffman's 1995 novel of the same name. It follows the story of two sisters, Gillian and Sally, who work together to get rid of a curse that's preventing them from finding true love by killing any men they get romantically involved with.
