Snoop Dogg's torchbearer moment is making waves on the internet; however, fans' reactions are far from serious.
On Friday, the "Drop It Like It's Hot" hitmaker carried the prestigious Olympic torch into Paris for the 2024 ceremony. He dropped a picture from the big moment on X, sparking numerous hilarious memes and comments.
Snoop Dogg was named one of the final torchbearers ahead of the Paris games, an honor that came at the heels of his first cannabis store.
Snoop Dogg's Olympic Torch Gets A Hilarious Twist
Shortly after his torchbearer duties, Snoop updated his X page with a picture of him dressed in the Olympics jersey while holding the iconic torch. He was all smiles, looking proud as he carried the flames into Paris.
"Did somethin today. #FollowTheDogg," he captioned the image. The post immediately received hundreds of responses from fans, with one excited X user changing the torch to something closer to Snoop's heart.
"Hope you had fun," the cheeky fan penned, editing the torch to a large blunt in Snoop's hand. More X users joined the fun, with one dropping an edited video of a burning cannabis roll while another shared a meme of a man with an enormous blunt.
These hilarious memes received the support of other X users, with someone noting, "I was waiting exactly for this! Did not disappoint." Another penned, "It's what we all thought, right?"

Before Snoop became a viral meme, fellow rapper Flavor Flav raved about his participation in the torch-bearing ceremony. The Blast reported he shared his excitement on "The TMZ Podcast," noting Friday would be "a very, very big moment for rap music history."
Flav noted Snoop's torch-bearing moment was the "main thing" he was "really, really" looking forward to in the Paris Games. He claimed it would be an unforgettable moment that fans would discuss decades later.
The "Fight the Power" rapper, who traveled to Paris as a part of his sponsorship duties for the USA women's water polo team, had only one piece of advice for his pal, "don't drop the torch!"
The Rapper Joined A Star-Studded List Of Torchbearers
Earlier this week, Snoop made the list as one of the final torchbearers of the Olympic flame before Friday's opening ceremony in Paris. He was set to carry the torch through the streets of Saint-Denis in the north of Paris.
His journey through Saint-Denis, home of the Stade de France Olympic Stadium, marked the penultimate leg of the torch's travel across France, with the relay ending at the Eiffel Tower. The flame has been passed down a star-studded list.
The prestigious torchbearers included former Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger, Formula One driver Charles Leclerc, and actress Halle Berry. Snoop, French actress Laetitia Casta, and French rapper MC Solaar were the last on the list.
The Hip Hop Icon Launched His First Cannabis Store
Ahead of his Olympic torchbearer moment, Snoop promised to take the event seriously and be on his "best behavior." While this meant he wouldn't be lighting up a blunt while carrying the prestigious torch, it didn't stop him from launching his first cannabis store.
A week before the Paris games, The Blast reported that Snoop had a grand opening ceremony for his new store, S.W.E.D. The business venture's name represented the rapper's well-known phrase "Smoke Weed Every Day."
The S.W.E.D. store was conveniently located near LAX Airport and was promoted as a new cultural hub that offered premium products and services. It combined cannabis with pop culture, introducing customers to Snoop's unique world.
Snoop Dogg's Store Honored His Rap Career
Snoop's store paid tribute to his music and love for cannabis, with an area dedicated to his "Doggy-Style" album and his hand-written sayings graffitied on the walls. The homages to the rapper's career continued with iconic memorabilia.
The business also featured a smoke-proof DJ booth where the rapper could smoke in-store while spinning his music. Snoop's cannabis plans didn't end there, as a S.W.E.D. coffee shop would arrive in Amsterdam by August 2024.
Given his growing cannabis empire, it is no surprise Snoop Dogg's Olympic torch-bearing moment became a viral cannabis meme.
