Gypsy Rose Blanchard Shows Off Massive Back Tattoo Days After Announcing She's Pregnant

32-year-old Gypsy Rose Blanchard has shown off some of her new ink in the days following her big pregnancy news.

As The Blast reported, after serving eight and a half years in prison for her role in her mother's death, the ex-convict has rekindled a relationship with her former fiancé, Ken Urker. This reunion comes on the heels of her separation from her husband, Ryan Anderson.

Gypsy Rose Blanchard not only paired up with Ken Urker for matching tattoos, but she also unveiled a massive back tattoo, which has stirred up quite a bit of buzz.

“I know the rumors have been flying around for quite some time now, and I’m happy to announce that I am 11 weeks pregnant," she announced on July 9. "Ken and I are expecting our very first child come January 2025. We're both very excited."

"This was not planned at all; it was completely unexpected," she added. "But we're both very excited to take on this new journey of parenthood."

"You know it's still going to be a long journey ahead, but I'm up for it. I feel a shift in myself," the 32-year-old ex-convict continued. "When I found out that I was pregnant, none of anything else mattered; the drama on social media, the few between creator and me, and all of that drama, it just all faded. It didn't matter anymore. All that matters is that I'm healthy, the baby is healthy, and the relationship with Ken is healthy."

On Thursday, July 25, the Munchausen by proxy victim shared a video showcasing her recent tattoos, which she had completed earlier this year. According to the ex-convict, these were done before she discovered she was pregnant.

At the beginning of a TikTok video—also shared on Instagram—Gypsy Rose Blanchard unveiled her striking large back tattoo, which appears to be inspired by a phoenix.

Following that, the 32-year-old star revealed another tattoo on her forearm. This one is inspired by the Unalome symbol from Buddhist and Hindu traditions, known for representing a journey towards enlightenment and freedom. She also treated her fans to a peek at the matching husky dog tattoos she and Urker got together.

"Tattoo meanings," she captioned the clip. "DISCLOSURE All tattoos were done BEFORE pregnancy."

After watching the video, reactions were mixed—some criticized the ex-convict, while others showered Gypsy with praise. "Getting matching tattoos with another man while still married is crazyyyy," one social media user commented.

"You are making many lifelong decisions within months of getting your freedom," another wrote. "It's better to think about these decisions."

"Everyone tends to forget that this is the first time that she’s living," one user said, sticking up for Gypsy. "This is the first time that she’s getting to experience a lot of things that we experience while growing up! She didn’t. Let this girl grow. Enjoy her life."

In her YouTube video announcing her pregnancy, Gypsy Rose discussed her mother and her early years, sharing how these experiences will shape her parenting approach as she prepares for her baby's arrival.

"It's not about anything other than the tiny little life that's inside you," she said as she got emotional. "That you are now in charge of protecting and that little tiny life is a baby, a little tiny human that's yours and that you have to make sure you protect, you love, you take care of, and all of the things that I wish I could have had when I was little."

The ex-convict added, "All the things that I wanted in a mother, I want to give to this baby. I am a mother now, I am happy, and I just want to be a good mother for my child. I want to be everything my mother wasn't."

She later spoke to Us Weekly, where she claimed, “I think that I’m going to be a good mother. I think Ken would be a wonderful father, and so we’ll see what the future holds for us.”
