Jennifer Aydin weighed in on the possibility of starring on her own “Real Housewives of New Jersey” spinoff during a March 9 interview with Showbiz Cheat Sheet.
As viewers of the series continue to get to know Aydin’s family better on the 11th season of the Bravo reality series, Aydin was asked if she’d ever consider further spotlighting her issues at home for her own show.
“I feel that there’s power in sharing your story,” Aydin told the outlet of the idea.
Jennifer Aydin’s Culture Doesn’t Always Approve Of Her Antics On ‘RHONJ’
Although Aydin has always been an open book when it comes to her candidness on “The Real Housewives of New Jersey,” she admitted that being that way is frowned upon by her culture.
“There’s a lot of things that people don’t like to air on camera, especially my parents [and] the Middle Eastern culture that we come from. It’s very taboo to air, your dirty laundry out there. But I feel that those are the instances where people find you most relatable,” she noted.
Jennifer Aydin Is All For Sharing More Of Her Life
“It’s not always this whole beautiful facade that we put up,” she continued. “If you dig a lot deeper, everyone’s got a story to share. And I feel like there’s no reason to be embarrassed about it. Use that as inspiration for someone to feel that they’re not alone. So, I’m all for sharing my life as long as my family was into it. I’ll definitely welcome that spinoff.”
During the 11th season of “RHONJ,” fans learned more about the drama between Aydin’s parents.
Fans Have Seen More Of Jennifer Aydin’s Dad On ‘RHONJ’ Season 11
“My dad is a very quiet man, he doesn’t talk too much, he really speaks only when spoken to,” Aydin explained.
“He’s very reserved, and he’s shy… he’s old school… but it’s been great having him. Honestly, I don’t even feel him here because half the time I forget even around because he doesn’t talk much. But it gives me joy to know that he gets to see the kids every day and live vicariously through them. It’s been really great to have him here. But it’s made my mother really angry. So I’m dealing with that right now.”
Jennifer Aydin Believes Her Kids Would Provide Tons Of Laughs
Speaking of her kids’ potential roles on a spinoff, Aydin said “there would be a lot of content with the kids” if the cameras were around more often.
“Sometimes even highly inappropriate ones, which I think are so funny,” she said. “The funniest things come out of my kids’ mouth. I mean, Olivia walks around the house, drinking water out of a wineglass.”
