Sofía Vergara's New Beau Post Sparks Comparison With Ex Joe Manganiello

It seems Sofía Vergara's new boo is her ex-husband's doppelganger; at least, that is what fans think.

The actress shared some pictures on Instagram, including cute snaps of Justin Saliman and set tongues wagging in her comment section about his striking resemblance to Joe Manganiello.

Sofía Vergara and Joe Manganiello finalized their divorce in February and have since moved on with their respective new romantic interests.

The "Modern Family" actress posted a quick photo on her Instagram page to amuse her 35 million followers worldwide. 

She looked dazzling in a maxi dress that flaunted her voluptuous cleavage and glowing skin. She posed in a cozy room and wore a brilliant smile.

The new pictures featured her new boyfriend in the last two slides, which looked like she was off on a mini vacation. Like his boo, Saliman was spotted chilling on a big green chair in a white vest and floral shorts, with his happy smile as the only accessory.

The surgeon struck another pose for the last slide as he sat in a big chair and crossed his legs. He was flanked by a lovely forest backdrop and sealed up his casual slay with dark aviator sunglasses.

Vergara captioned the picture with a love emoji, but the comment section had a completely different atmosphere, as the fans had much to say.

One curious user wrote, "Wait, did she get back with her ex-boyfriend?" Another replied, "I am glad I'm not the only one who thought this. The first time I saw a picture of them together, my immediate thought was: It looks uncannily like the ex-boyfriend." Someone noted in his keen observation:

"New boyfriend looks like older boyfriend (Loeb)." 

This commenter was rather impressed with Vergara's new partner and wrote: "You really upgraded…" Another commenter shared the same opinion and declared, "The best update you made, it's handsome!!!!!!!!"

It looked like the majority of the poll was on Salisman's side, as another fan reiterated the "He's handsome!!! Better than the X" line.

The man tugging furiously at the actress' heartbeat has allegedly been at it since last year, when they first set off the rumor mills in October 2023. An inside source spilled that the mom-of-one was "dating and having fun."

She also admitted to PEOPLE in April 2024 that she was in the mental and emotional space for a romantic partner and then declared her preferred qualities in a man, saying:

"Health. Money. Fun. With Kids. That's it. I mean, it's already hard for a fifty-something-year-old woman to find someone.I'm not going to be now picky about, 'Oh, he can only be a doctor. Oh, he can only be an astronaut."

In the same month, she debuted her gorgeous boyfriend on her Instagram Stories, putting all the humming rumors to rest. 

The Denver-born orthopedic surgeon received his medical degree from the University of Colorado and then proceeded to do his Orthopedic Residency at Mount Sinai in New York City, before completing a fellowship at the prestigious Stanford University.

Saliman is well known in Beverly Hills for his profession. During his sports medicine fellowship at Stanford University, he worked with the San Francisco 49ers and several university athletic teams.

He was previously married to Bree Turner in 2008 and filed for divorce in 2018 due to irreconcilable differences, which means Vergara is not his first Hollywood-linked relationship.

The new lovebirds have a few things in common, including the fact that they're both parents with kids from their previous relationships and were spotted celebrating Mother's day with the actress's family in May.

He also supported the celebrity during her recovery from knee surgery in April, which she acknowledged on her Instagram story and also doubled as the public confirmation of their relationship.

Their most recent sighting was in June at the launch of Vergara and her son Manolo's culinary brand and thena Sunday get-together at her home two days after the event.

The mother-of-one earlier claimed that the lack of kids in her marriage to Manganiello may have led to the breakdown of the union.

However, the actress explained that it was not an insensitive move on her part, rather, it came from a place of concern for the baby and her age at the time she got married to the "Magic Mike" actor.

Now, at 52 years old, Vergara declares that she is ready to be a grandmother and raise her only child's kids whenever he makes the decision.

"I had a son at 19, who is now 32, and I'm ready to be a grandmother, not a mother. So, if love comes along, he has to come with [his own] children. I'm almost in menopause; it's the natural way of things." noted the actress.

The lack of children between the estranged couple and their prenuptial agreement before walking down the aisle helped their divorce process move faster and void of bickering.

Vergara is not the only one who has found love after dissolving their union. Her actor ex-husband is also currently smitten with his new love interest, Caitlin O'Connor.

The actor went Instagram official in February with the aspiring actress, months after he announced his divorce from Vergara.

The Blast shared that they have moved swiftly in the relationship as Manganiello's dog Bubbles has taken a strong liking for O'Connor. The cute pair are also coincidentally Pittsburgh natives and have taken romantic trips to New York City and Italy.

Manganiello and his beau began their romantic journey after their first meeting at HBO's "Winning Time" after-party last September and it's been smooth sailing.
