Last week, Drake finally released new music as this time, it was his "Scary Hours 2" EP. This project featured three new tracks with appearances from Lil Baby on "Wants And Needs" and Rick Ross on the six-minute "Lemon Pepper Freestyle." The other song on Scary Hours 2 was "What's Next" and that appears to be the hottest single from this project based on the fan reaction. Now, its producer, Supah Mario, is speaking on the song's success, which was unexpected to him.

Mario Didn't Think Drake Would Put 'What's Next' On 'Scary Hours 2' EP

Mario recently spoke with RapCaviar regarding "What's Next." There, the producer explained how he didn't think Drake would put this song out. He also revealed that this was a Playboi Carti-style of a beat. This is after Mario knew that Drake was working with Carti.

"It was like a Carti style beat and I knew Drake was working on shit with Carti. I sent it to him and luckily, he hit me back and was like, 'Yo I wanna fuck with this.'"

Drake Texted Mario After Using 'What's Next'

Mario also shared text messages from Drake in one of his recent Instagram posts. There, Drake shared some motivational words where he said how Mario needs to trust him, there's a "reason to fight" for both of them, and how this record is something that would solidify himself as well as Mario.

"First possible #1 otw," said Mario on Instagram regarding "What's Next" possibly becoming the top song in the US this week. "I’m grateful regardless. however it goes.

'What's Next' Is Heading For No. 1 On Billboard Hot 100 Chart

According to Chart Data,"What's Next" is projected to become the top song in the US at this point on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. The song originally leaked on social media a week and a half ago as demand for it to be released started to grow. Once "What's Next"was put on "Scary Hours 2," it met expectations from fans and now, the numbers are about to speak for themselves on the charts this week on the Hot 100.

Fans Also Wonder When 'Certified Lover Boy' Album Will Be Released

"What's Next" and "Scary Hours 2" was applauded by Drake fans worldwide. At the same time though, the wait is also on for his sixth studio album, "Certified Lover Boy." The project was originally supposed to be out sometime in January but Drake took to his Instagram feed to announce that it had been delayed. As of now, there is still no official release date for when CLB will finally arrive. When it is finally here though, it's expected to be another No. 1 album for Drake.
