Vice President Kamala Harris' memoir, "The Truths We Hold," has rocketed to the top of several Amazon bestseller lists after her campaign launch for the 2024 Democratic presidential nomination.

Her 2019 New York Times bestseller takes readers on an inspiring journey through Harris’ political path, starting with her childhood in California as the daughter of immigrants and passionate civil rights activists.

Ever since President Joe Biden announced he would no longer run for re-election, Kamala Harris has received the support of more than the 1,976 pledged delegates.

Kamala Harris' 2019 Memoir Tops Amazon Bestsellers

Just days after Joe Biden dropped out of the presidential race, Kamala Harris’ 2019 memoir, "The Truths We Hold: An American Journey," is currently sitting at the No. 1 spot on Amazon’s Biographies of Politicians and Women’s Biographies bestseller charts, per People Magazine.

On July 22, Kamala Harris expressed her gratitude for the endorsements she has received thus far.

"When I announced my campaign for President, I said I intended to go out and earn this nomination,” Harris said, per People Magazine. “Tonight, I am proud to have secured the broad support needed to become our party's nominee, and as a daughter of California, I am proud that my home state's delegation helped put our campaign over the top. I look forward to formally accepting the nomination soon.”

Since President Biden's announcement, the current Vice President has been showered with a wave of endorsements from big names like Nancy Pelosi, former President Bill Clinton, Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, and House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries.

"On behalf of the American people, I thank Joe Biden for his extraordinary leadership as President of the United States and for his decades of service to our country," Harris said, just moments after Biden dropped out. "His remarkable legacy of accomplishment is unmatched in modern American history, surpassing the legacy of many Presidents who have served two terms in office."

"It is a profound honor to serve as his Vice President, and I am deeply grateful to the President, Dr. Biden, and the entire Biden family," she added.

Planned Parenthood Action Fund Endorses Kamala Harris

In addition to several political figures, The Planned Parenthood Action Fund has also thrown its support behind Kamala Harris in her bid to become the 47th President of the United States.

Alexis McGill Johnson, the president of The Planned Parenthood Action Fun, told NBC News, “We just can’t talk enough about what it means in this moment to have her representing at the top of the ticket."

"She has been an incredible, invaluable partner inside of the administration these last two years since Dobbs," McGill Johnson added. "She has traveled and done hundreds of events with patients and providers and really gotten on the ground to understand, as she always does, the issue from all angles.”

The Vice President Claims 'The Baton Is In Our Hands'

During her address to her campaign staff in Wilmington, Delaware, on Monday, Vice President Harris acknowledged the recent whirlwind of events but expressed great confidence in her newly assembled team.

“It is my intention to go out and earn this nomination and to win,” she said of her plans for the 2024 presidential race, per The Guardian. She later promised to “unite our Democratic party, to unite our nation, and to win this election.”

Also in her address, the Vice President laid out the key themes that will shape her campaign against Trump over the next 100 days, spotlighting the stark contrast between her experience as a prosecutor and Trump’s felony convictions. “I know Donald Trump’s type,” she said. The “type” Harris was referring to was “Predators who abused women. Fraudsters who ripped off consumers. Cheaters who broke the rules for their own gain.”

“Our fight for the future is also a fight for freedoms,” she said. “The baton is in our hands.”
