Although there is no replacing late host Alex Trebek, as the saying goes, the show must go on.

The “Jeopardy!” stage first sawformer contestant Ken Jennings stepping into the hosting chair, followed by a brief two-week run by executive Mike Richards.

Although many fans agreed that there was no replacing Trebek, fans had strong feelings about who will take over to the new hosting position.

Fan Feedback: Ken Jennings

Although there was initial controversy over Jenning’s appearance, fans seem to have taken a shine to the “Jeopardy!” G.O.A.T.

“Hey Ken,” one fan tweeted. “Question: will you be returning to hosting Jeopardy! in the near future? I really enjoyed watching you in action. It was wonderful & I truly feel that Alex Trebek was smiling from heaven. Hope you’ll be back soon. #bringbackkenjennings”

“Anything’s possible,” Jennings responded before joking, “Write your Congressperson.”

Although some fans have called for a boycott of the popular trivia show until Jennings is back at the helm, the “Planet Funny” author was quick to respond.

“This is a very kind show of support but please: do not boycott Jeopardy!,” he wrote. “If you do that, you miss Jeopardy!”

Fan Feedback: Mike Richards

Mike Richards was immediately a hit with fans due to his affable nature.

“Mike Richards evokes Alex Trebek's kindness and demeanor on the show,” one fan wrote. “We hope he will remain as a mainstay host.”

However, not everyone was convinced. “I don't think Mike Richards has the right personality for that program,” one fan tweeted. “You'd be a much better fit on Wheel of Fortune.”

Considering Richards has served as executive producer for “The Price is Right”, “Let’s Make a Deal”, and “Who Wants to Be a Millionaire”, it seems that Richards might prefer staying behind the camera for now.

Trebek has been the host of “Jeopardy!” since 1984, which will make Couric the first woman to ever step into the role of host on the “Jeopardy!” stage.

She has decades of experience in front of the camera, co-hosting the “Today” show from 1991 to 2006 and anchoring “CBS Evening News” for five years.

Couric, 63, now runs her own media company that produces educational documentaries and podcasts, in addition to her newsletter, “Wake Up Call.”
