Hailey Bieber Calls Out Critics Who Made Her 'Feel So Bad' About Her Relationship With Justin Bieber

Hailey Bieber is reflecting on her relationship with her husband, Justin Bieber.

In a new interview, the model shared that there was a lot of negative criticism right after she and the pop star became a couple.

Hailey Bieber admitted that hearing those remarks "hurt" her, even though she tried to act like it didn't bother her.

Speaking with W Magazine, Hailey shared her feelings about the criticism she has faced since starting her relationship with Justin.

The model said she was made to "feel so bad about my relationship since day one," referencing critics' comments suggesting she and the pop star were "falling apart."

According to her, those comments continued pouring in even after they got married, with some people claiming they were getting divorced.

All of it led the expecting mother to conclude that "people don't want to believe that we're happy."

She added, "I used to try to act like it hurts less and less. I've tried to think that you get used to it at a certain point, that this is what's going to be said, and this is how people are going to be. But I realize that it doesn't actually ever hurt any less."

Hailey announced that she was pregnant in May, a secret she had kept for six months. She explained that her pregnancy went unnoticed by outsiders because her body didn't show a large bump in the early months.

"I was honestly able to keep it quiet because I stayed small for a long time," Hailey revealed. "I didn't have a belly, really, until I was six months pregnant, which was when I announced it."

Despite this, the businesswoman felt she could have kept her pregnancy a secret for even longer, possibly until she was closer to her due date. However, she decided against it because she wanted to live on her own terms.

"I probably could have hid it until the end," she added. "But I didn't enjoy the stress of not being able to enjoy my pregnancy outwardly. I felt like I was hiding this big secret, and it didn't feel good. I wanted the freedom to go out and live my life."

When the pregnancy news made headlines at the time, a close source revealed that "everyone is excited" for the couple to become first-time parents, per People magazine.

According to the insider, who believes the couple will be "great parents," Justin plans to be "super involved" in raising their child.

"This will be the next important project for him. He's so excited to raise his baby, the insider said about the "Holy" singer.

Already, the couple has picked a name for the baby rather than waiting until it's born.
