The Planned Parenthood Action Fund, the dynamic advocacy wing of the non-profit Planned Parenthood Federation of America, has given its full support to Vice President Kamala Harris.

Alexis McGill Johnson, the president of both organizations, told NBC News, “We just can’t talk enough about what it means in this moment to have her representing at the top of the ticket."

The group has partnered closely with Harris, who stands out as the leading voice in the Biden administration on abortion access and reproductive health care issues.

McGill Johnson also pointed out that Trump didn't address abortion at all during his speech at last week's Republican National Convention.

Trump didn’t mention it, because it’s not politically convenient for him,” she told the news outlet. “He understands that abortion, and fighting for reproductive rights and freedom, is a winning issue for Democrats. And so he’s doing everything he can to run away from his own record.”

According to McGill Johnson, shortly after Biden announced he would be backing out of the 2024 Presidential race, Harris called her.

“The important thing for me on the call was that it wasn’t about her. It was about the opportunity to extend the fight and protections of freedom that we’ve been working together on," McGill Johnson said. “From a personal standpoint, as Black women, when we are called, we are oftentimes just put into play."

"So for her to step in with such clarity and grace and resolve and grace," she added. "We are going to deliver this as only we can. That’s how I felt after that call.”

Hours after Biden told the nation that he will no longer run for re-election, Harris broke her silence.

"On behalf of the American people, I thank Joe Biden for his extraordinary leadership as President of the United States and for his decades of service to our country," she said in her lengthy statement. "His remarkable legacy of accomplishment is unmatched in modern American history, surpassing the legacy of many Presidents who have served two terms in office."

"It is a profound honor to serve as his Vice President, and I am deeply grateful to the President, Dr. Biden, and the entire Biden family," she continued. "I first came to know President Biden through his son Beau. We were friends from our days working together as Attorneys General of our home states."

According to a source who spoke to People Magazine, Trump claims "he can topple Kamala Harris as easily as he could topple Biden." However, "down deep, he is scared of her youth."

“This will suck tons of oxygen out of the room,” the source told the outlet. "[Trump's] touchdown spotlight will dim for a while.”

The current Vice President is set to take over Biden's Democratic position in the 2024 Presidential run as reports have said she's currently looking for a running mate. “Of course [Harris] may not be the candidate, but if she is, he is also aware of her political and legal brilliance and deep understanding of the issues facing the American people," the source later added.
