The singer had a wonderful voice that sold millions of records over the years, but sadly, shenpassed away at the peak of her career. She left behind a daughter, Bobbi Kristina, but she too passed away a few years later. How did it all happen?

A Legend Will Always Live On!
Whitney, as she was popularly called by friends and colleagues, was a shining star in her prime and it all began from a simple church choir that her mother enrolled her into.
She later delved into a modelling career, but soon found out that music alone was her calling. Although she started off with gospel tracks, she then branched into R&B and Pop.
Aside from music, Whitney also had a short career in the movie industry, although it was alleged that she landed a role in “The Bodyguard” after she was trying to get clean from substance abuse.
Whitney’s Childhood Challenges
As some people may know, Whitney experienced a tough childhood, as her mother was a very strict teacher, who always wanted her to toughen up.
While this helped, it did not in any way help against the sexual abuse that the musician reportedly went through at the hands of a family members
Also, Whitney’s parents were stout christians, who took their religion very seriously and never entertained anything that would shame the name of God.
As time went on, the star sought to stay farther away from home, although she still had some of her family members included in her career, to teach and guide her.
Whitney’s Personal Struggles & Death
Born Whitney Elizabeth Houston, she met Bobby Brown in 1989, at a Music Awards event and after dating for three years, they decided to get married.
Shortly after, in 1993, the duo welcomed a daughter, named Bobbi Kristina Brown. In the course of their marriage, Whitney was using and abusing substance like cocaine, marijuana alcohol and pills.
During an explosive interview with Diane Sawyer in 2002, the singer shocked the world with a statement. On February 11, 2012, she was found unconscious in a bathtub and later pronounced dead.
Bobbi Kristina’s Struggles & Death
Bobbi, as she was popularly called, also had a lot of struggles while growing up. Although Whitney tried to shield her from the problems in her marriage, they were soon glaring for the world to see.
At a young age, Bobbi was also introduced to the the public’s prying eyes and there was little she could do about it as her mother was a famous icon.
After the death of her mother, she shocked everyone with the news of her engagement to Nick Gordon, a family friend, who was suspectedly involved in Whitney’s death.
Sadly, on June 31, 2015, Bobbi was found face down in a bathtub and suspected to have drowned. She died weeks later on July 26, 2015.
