In a new wave of media outburst, Meghan Markle was accused of bullying her staff while she was living in London. However, producer and author Lindsay Jill Roth spoke up in defense of her friend.

On Thursday, Roth shared photos of herself and Markle at their graduation from Northwestern University. She also shared a photo from her wedding day, and in the caption, she wrote;

"Meg's M.O. has always been kindness; goodwill runs in her bones."

She continued that she has been friends with the Duchess for 22 years and knows how respectfully she treats her friends, families, and colleagues.

Roth argued that her generous and selfless friend is more than just a cover story. Her comments were in response to Markle and Prince Harry hitting the headline for allegedly bullying their staff in the wake of their upcoming exclusive interview with Oprah Winfrey, set to air on Sunday.

The author added that Markle is a woman full of love, funny, smart and laughs loud.

She also explained that the 39-year-old Duchess was the same woman she went to college with seventeen years ago, the same woman who spent her days auditioning for movie roles in L.A.

Roth continued that Markle remained the loving person she is while living in Toronto as Rachel Zane on the series "Suits." And she remains the charming and kind woman she was before she started dating Harry or became the Duchess of Sussex.

Meeting for the first time at a Toni Morrison literature class during their freshman year, Markle and Roth have remained close friends even after their graduation in 2003.

After college, they briefly had acting careers, before Markle got married into the royal household.

Markle pursued a role on "Suits," while Roth appeared as an extra in "Mona Lisa Smile" alongside Kirsten Dunst and the movie "Raise Your Voice" with Hilary Duff.

After her brief acting career, Roth has since worked as a producer for shows like, "Larry King Now," "The Real Girl's Kitchen," and "Queen Boss."

Throughout their separate careers, the college mates remained close friends and intertwined in each other's lives. Although the Duchess of Sussex has since deactivated her personal Instagram account, Roth still has several photos of her and Markle together.

Seemingly, Markle has no shortage of friends who would gladly come to her defense when the need arises.

Another close friend of Markle's, Actress Janina Gavankar, who attended the royal wedding between Markle and Prince Harry, also defended the Duchess in a tweet.

In the tweet, Gavankar shared that she has known Markle for seventeen years as a strong, kind, and open person but never as a bully. The "True Blood" star continued that everyone who knows Markle is grateful she is finally breaking her silence to tackle the rumors about her.
