Lisa Marie Presley Asks Judge To Make Her Officially Single Again, 5 Years After Filing For Divorce!

Lisa Marie Presley filed for divorce from her husband nearly 5 years ago, but at this point, she is STILL not legally considered 'single.'

According to new legal documents, Elvis Presley's daughter is asking a judge in her ongoing divorce case to bifurcate the marital status even though the ex-couple continues to battle over custody of their children.

In other words, she is requesting the judge separate the two issues and officially make her single -- regardless of how long it takes to settle their custody issues.

According to reports, Lisa Marie filed the documents in L.A. County Courts claiming her ex-husband Michael Lockwood refuses to terminate the marriage.

As we reported, she filed for divorce back in 2016, but the two stars have been fighting over several issues ever since. Obviously, Lisa Marie is clear with the court that there is no chance for the relationship to be saved -- so just make it official.

It's unclear if Lockwood will fight the issue, but Presley is asking it gets done ASAP, saying, "So that I can move forward with my life."

As we reported, Lisa Marie already scored big in 2018 after the judge ordered she did NOT have to pay Lockwood spousal support, based on their 2007 prenuptial agreement.

But, the ex-couple has been viciously fighting over the custody of their children -- including a recent battle over the kids being able to take part in an event at their grandfather's home, Graceland.

According to legal documents, obtained by The Blast, Lockwood claims LM attempted to alienate him from the couple's 11-year-old twin daughters. In the filing, he claims she falsely claimed he had sexually abused his children and coached them on speaking poorly about him.

Interestingly, he dragged actress and famous Scientology defector -- Leah Remini -- into the case claiming he "intends to examine Leah Remini about the Chruch of Scientology, some of the Church’s practices and beliefs, the Church’s treatment of those who oppose it or expose it, the technique of “Fair Game” or “Fair Gaming” employed by Scientologists, and the sexual abuse allegations made by (LMP) against Lockwood as communicated to Ms. Remini by (LMP.)"

A judge will ultimately make the decision.
