Clint Eastwood, who recently walked his youngest daughter down the aisle, is now mourning the death of his longtime girlfriend.
The 94-year-old Hollywood icon and Christina Sandera have always been low-key about their relationship, which would suggest why he only broke the news of her death without further explanation in a statement released.
Christina Sandera, who began dating Clint Eastwood in 2014, passed away on Thursday at 61, and the cause of death is yet to be revealed.

The Hollywood legend confirmed the death of his girlfriend, describing her as a “lovely, caring woman” who he will miss very much.
The lovebirds began their relationship after meeting at Eastwood’s Mission Ranch Hotel and Restaurant in Carmel-by-the-Sea, a small town in California where he once served as the mayor.
Call it fate or destiny; the late 61-year-old was also a small-town resident when they met and had previously worked as a hostess at Eastwood’s hotel.
Both kept their love lives lowkey but were seen attending public events together. Eastwood and Sandera attended the 2015 Academy Awards, where the “American Sniper” star received six nominations for the flick.
She also accompanied her boo to various red carpet events, including one for “Sully” in 2016, “The Mule” in 2018, and “Richard Jewell” in 2019, per TMZ.
Before their meeting, Clint was married twice — first to model Maggie Johnson from 1953 to 1987 and to news anchor Dina Ruiz from 1996 to 2016.
Sandera Was A Private Person Herself
The late Sandera, unlike her superstar boyfriend, avoided the public eye like a plague and only confirmed they were dating at their red carpet debut for the 2015 Oscars to celebrate Eastwood's multiple nominations.
Per a PEOPLE report, the pair were photographed grabbing groceries the year before, but nothing much was known about their connection until Oscars night.
However, things were serious behind the camera as Sandera quickly connected with Eastwood's kids and she joined his family in 2018 at the premiere of "Mule."
Sandera also joined the actor's blended family to celebrate his 90th birthday in 2020. According to his son, Scott Eastwood, the party was planned to be "very calm, very mellow" as the actor himself does not like birthday parties, so they would just find a way to sneak the cake in.
The Movie Director Was Unsure About Remarrying
Despite his fame, Eastwood loves to keep his personal life under wraps, especially in the romance department.
Back in 1983, the director expressed his hesitation to giving walking down the aisle another shot, especially after his first marriage failed.
"I've had one marriage that didn't work, and I don't know if I'd want to do that again," said the actor, who at the time was in a long-term relationship with Sandra Locke.
However, cupid hit him again in 1996 when he tied the knot with Ruiz, but the union lasted for two decades before they parted ways for good.
Eastwood fathered eight children in total from his relationships and marriages, including actor Scott Eastwood.

The actor may have been unlucky with two marriages, but he proudly handed his daughter Morgan Eastwood's over in marriage to her partner in June.
Morgan disclosed that each family member had several roles to play in the wedding, which took place at the Mission Ranch in Carmel, California, which the actor purchased in 1986.
The ceremony was planned last minute, but it was adorable by all metrics, according to the lovely pictures on her Instagram page with her groom, Tanner Koopmans.
Morgan is also expecting a baby, and in one of the slides, an elated Eastwood held her belly, looking very excited to be a grandfather very soon.
Clint Eastwood Described Parenting As 'Fun'
Eastwood’s eight kids are from six of his relationships, and the actor may allegedly have more than that number, as he is famous for refusing to confirm the exact number of his offspring.
However, the actor has discussed parenting in many interviews, and per HOLA, he became better at it as the years rolled by.
"My daughter takes precedence over everything. I go to all the softball games and look ridiculous out there because almost everybody’s got a much younger father than me," disclosed Eastwood.
He continued that raising children is fun, and one will appreciate it a lot more when they are older.
May Christina Sandera's soul rest in peace and Clint Eastwood find comfort and strength to navigate this difficult time.
