We hope Chloe Bailey has thick skin!
The older half of the sister singing group Chloe X Halle found herself in the crosshairs of Beyoncé's father after he was asked about people comparing the young star to his daughter. Mathew Knowles appeared on the YouTube show Leah's Lemonaide on March 3. He talked about his legacy, but when the host asked about the young singing sensation, Knowles got all hot and bothered and called the people comparing the two ladies idiots. The words seemed a little harsh, considering his daughter is a mentor to both Chloe and Halle.

The interview seemed to go swimmingly until the host, Leah A. Henry, mentioned Chloe's name. “You’ve got to be kidding me, right? You’re asking me that question?” Knowles responded when Henry brought up the comparison. “Are you actually serious that you are comparing that young lady to Beyonce?”
Henry then brought up the fact that people think that Chloe is a shoo-in to play the former Destiny's Child star in a biopic. “Okay, if you’re talking about a movie," Knowles continued, "not talent-wise." The man wrinkled his brow and said, "Are you telling me talent-wise, somebody is an idiot enough to compare her to Beyonce, talent-wise? Are there people saying her talent is equal to Beyonce? They’re idiots. Period!” He ended his shocking response by claiming the comparison is "insulting to Beyoncé."

Both Chloe and Halle expressed their extreme admiration for Beyoncé in a recent interview with Rolling Stone and claimed that the star was one of the reasons that they pursued music. The sisters first met Queen Bey when Chloe was cast as a younger version of Beyoncé's character in the 2003 movie, "The Fighting Temptations." Bailey described her as having "the best spirit" and carried on about how nice she was to them. Since then, Bey has been a mentor to Chloe and even sent the sisters some clothes from the newest Ivy Park drop.

Chloe's new Instagram has been the source of positive and negative attention in the short time since its creation. The sisters announced that they split up in January... but only on social media. She made quite the splash when her "Buss It" challenge video went viral but experienced the downside of being a public figure on the gram. She tearfully addressed her followers after haters accused her of being too provocative on the popular platform. They were referring to a video of Bailey saging her room while not wearing pants. "For every woman out there," she said on Instagram Live at the time, "don't change who you are to make society feel comfortable."
