Aurora Culpo Admits She Was 'Dumped' By Paul Bernon After Sister's 'Flavor of the Month' Comment

Aurora Culpo has revealed that Paul Bernon ended their relationship in early July, shortly after her sister, Olivia Culpo, made remarks about their romance.

The model admitted their differing communication styles and desires for children contributed to the breakup.

Despite their split, Aurora Culpo has only good things to say about Paul Bernon, praising him as a good person.

On a recent episode of her "Barely Filtered" podcast, Aurora revealed she was "dumped" by Paul Bernon in early July after her sister Olivia referred to him as the "flavor of the month."

She shared that Bernon ended things "the next day," calling her and saying, "It's not working." Jokingly, she added: "He was not the flavor of the month. He was the flavor of two months. I would have preferred it to go longer, but unfortunately, he dumped me."

Aurora noted that she attempted to have the comment removed from the show and apologized to Bernon once she realized it would air.

She expressed disappointment over the quick end of their relationship but admitted she saw it coming even before Olivia's wedding, noting, "There were things, like, he doesn't want any more kids [and] I probably do want more kids."

Olivia made the "flavor" remark on the July 3 episode of the podcast, recorded before her wedding to San Francisco 49ers running back Christian McCaffrey, which Bernon did not attend.

Reflecting on her split from Bernon, Aurora cited their differing communication styles as a significant factor.

"Our communication style was so different. I'm not someone who can give space when someone feels hurt. Like, I need to talk about things right away," Aurora said, per Page Six, highlighting their incompatibility.

The 35-year-old admitted, "We're not compatible and I would have known that had I let the relationship move at a logical pace, but that's not how I operate."

Despite the breakup, Aurora remains fond of Bernon, describing him as a "nice guy," "generous," "great dad," and "super funny."

She emphasized that their relationship's end doesn't diminish her respect and admiration for him.

"Just because we can't be together doesn't mean that I'm mad at him or doesn't mean that I don't still think he is an amazing person, because he is," she said on her podcast.

Aurora explained that Bernon's absence from Olivia's wedding in Rhode Island wasn't due to being barred but because their relationship was still new.

"Paul and I had decided that he wasn't going to come to the wedding because it was new," she shared. "I had a lot of responsibility with my kids there, he didn't know anybody yet. He didn't want to come and I didn't want him to come and that was fine and it was nothing personal."

However, Aurora mentioned that Bernon did meet her family during a beach outing before Olivia and Christian McCaffrey's wedding.

She expressed frustration over paparazzi photos from that day, which led to headlines about Bernon moving on quickly from his previous relationship.

Bernon was previously engaged to "Real Housewives of New York City" alum Bethenny Frankel for about six years, but they ended their relationship several months ago, with news of the split surfacing in May.

Earlier this month, Frankel openly discussed Bernon's relationship with Aurora, labeling it as "embarrassing" and "gutting."

On her "Just B" podcast, the "Real Housewives of New York City" alum stated, "Last week, I started to see my name in headlines being portrayed as the jilted ex who had been upgraded from, that my ex had moved on from me with a younger woman."

Frankel continued, "It regurgitated the continuous narrative that he is a very under-the-radar person who had now gotten serious with someone, had a girlfriend, met her family, met her kids."

She admitted, "Hearing about your ex-fiancé committing to another woman shortly after their first date, and then being inside their relationship, hearing about their sex, their gifts, and meeting each other's kids, and the level of commitment was gutting. It was definitely shocking, and it's embarrassing."
