Kathy Hilton 'Lied' To Daughters Paris And Nicky Hilton About 'RHOBH' Role

Kathy Hilton wasn't honest with her two daughters, Paris Hilton and Nicky Hilton, when it came to her 2020 addition to "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" cast.
During a recent episode of Paris' podcast, "This is Paris," she and Nicky discussed their mom's addition to the Bravo reality series, admitting that when it came to Kathy's role on the show's upcoming 11th season, they didn't find out about her position until cameras began rolling.
"My mom was so shady about the whole thing," Nicky noted, via PEOPLE.

"Pretty much every year this rumors surfaces: 'Kathy Hilton is joining The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.' And we're like, 'No she's not.' This year was no different," Nicky explained.
Because Kathy's younger half-sister, Kyle Richards, has been appearing on "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" since it began, Kathy is always tied to the show. However, when it came to the rumors of 2020, they ended up being true as Kathy ultimately joined the series in a part-time position for its new episodes.
Kathy Hilton Initially Denied Rumors Of A 'RHOBH' Addition
After noticing that the rumors regarding Kathy's addition to the "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" had begun spreading faster than usual at the end of last year, Nicky told listeners she decided to ask her mom directly about the reports.
Right away, Kathy denied the story.
"I asked her, 'Mom, are you going to be on the show?' She's like, 'No,'" Nicky recalled.
Then, as time went on, Kathy ultimately confirmed to both Nicky and Paris that she had, in fact, joined the ladies of "RHOBH" for their upcoming season.

"She goes, 'Well, they've asked me and I'm thinking about it, but I'm probably not going to do it,'" Nicky revealed.
After learning from Kathy that she was considering taking on a position on the Bravo show, Nicky said that she and Paris learned that PEOPLE had confirmed her addition while out in New York City.
"Cut to Paris and I in Soho walking down the street and our friend FaceTimes us being like, 'I see your mom is on the Real Housewives...PEOPLE magazine just confirmed it,'" she shared.

Speaking of her own experience with Kathy in regard to her addition to "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills," Paris outright accused her mom of lying to her about her position.
"My mom lied to us, pretended she wasn't doing it, wouldn't admit it," said Paris. "There's no way she would do this if there was not a pandemic happening and she wasn't so bored at home for the last year. There's no way she would have said yes. They've asked her every year."
