Jessica Simpson In Mexico Bikini Is Over 'Ridiculous' High Heels

Jessica Simpon couldn't catch a break as fans ripped her choice of footwear apart back in 2016. Enjoying a sun-soaked Mexico vacation in April of that year, the 43-year-old fashion designer slipped back into her trademark Daisy Dukes while showing off her bikini-clad curves, but it was her platform-heeled shoes receiving the most attention as The Daily Mail published the photos. Flaunting her bombshell curves ahead of the 100 pounds she dropped in 2019, Jessica sizzled in the sun, but it doesn't look like fans were too impressed.

The Jessica Simpson Style founder, known for her Dukes of Hazzard cutoffs, gave a nod to her trademark outfit with her leggy denim shorts, ones doing wonders for her curvy waistline and shapely legs.

Photographed poolside at her luxurious hotel, Jessica strutted around in the sun, adding a flowing open kaftan to her shorts and bikini combo, with a pair of brown platform heels completing the look. Rocking an open-toe finish as she injected some evengwear vibes into her ensemble, Jessica wound up hounded over her decision to rock heels, and the comments didn't hold back.

"Ugh Those shoes... What's wrong with flip flops or flats?!" one fan moaned, with over 800 others agreeing. "Never understand why some women wear heels round by a pool," another remarked, with a third replying directly, stating: "It is ridiculous, but I think it's to give the appearance of longer legs. Either that or it's a a requirement of being a female celebrity."

It doesn't look like Jessica Simpson is interested in fan opinions. In August 2022, she shared the above photo to her Instagram, showing off the 100 pounds she'd lost while crossing a Mexico beach in a skintight black swimsuit. Looking impeccable with her bombshell locks worn down, the actress added height to her frame with another pair of platform heels, with the photo earning her over 95,000 likes. She even earned a like from SKIMS mogul Kim Kardashian.

Shouting out husband Eric Johnson, she wrote: "The sun is settin’ on the most romantic, sexy and well deserved (if I do day so myself) Mexican getaway with my forever lover @ericjohnsonalrighhhht.Awww I will miss this, but I will be bringin’ home a lot of extra passion for everyone and everything that is for sure."

Jessica Simpson was yet again in her trusty cutoff shorts for this April photo, one shared to her IG and promoting her best-selling clothing line. "Meet me in Malibu," Jessica captioned the leggy beach snap.
