Gymnast McKayla Maroney All Waterfalls In Hospital Bounce-Back

Olympic gymnast McKayla Maroney is bouncing right back from her shock hospitalization five days ago – the 25-year-old vault queen made headlines for revealing she was in "severe pain" on February 25, winding up in the E.R. and diagnosed with kidney stones, and fans had only seen a post-hospital smoothie as McKayla remained silent on her social media. Breaking that silence last night, the 2012 London Olympics face returned, but not in the expected way. Check out her bounce-back below.

McKayla, who comes fighting fit, vegan, and has been returning to the gym amid the pandemic for her spandex workouts, shocked her 1.3 million Instagram followers with her hospital reveal, sharing late-night footage outside an Orange County, CA Emergency Room, then showing her face all closed-eyes and also wearing a hospital gown.
"Tuesday I was throwing up all day, with severe pain in my back and stomach," the gymnast told fans. See it below.

Maroney then shared a heart-breaking photo of herself seeming to try and catch a little peace while undergoing treatment. The California native added: "Had to come to the ER at 3am because pain kept getting worse, and I couldnt' stop throwing up. Just got by CT Scan back. I have a few kidney stones."
Proving smoothies do a girl good as she shared one after the E.R., Maroney then updated her lesser-known Glohé wellness Instagram on Monday night, and it was "don't go chasing waterfalls."

Wishing fans a happy March, the gymnast then addressed her visit, stating: "February ended with quite a bang for me! I was rushed to the ER in excruciating pain, and there I found out I have a few large kidney stones!! Yikes."
"I’m still waiting to meet with a specialist, because I might need some surgery — I’m not sure yet! Thankfully I have stopped throwing up, and I’m experiencing no pain today! Just drinking tons of water!"

Admitting that life had been speeding up perhaps a little too much – McKayla was just signed to United Talent Agency – the brunette beauty then admitted that a slower pace might be working out for her, concluding: "I love when life pulls a wild card, and I’m forced to adjust. It puts all the little stresses I previously had into perspective.
My goal this month is to go with flow. I’m excited to try out a new more relaxed mindset!"
