Selena Gomez had the internet rallying behind her as beach photos of her in Mexico went viral back in 2019. Escaping winter in Febraury of that year, the 31-year-old jetted South of the Border for her BFF's engagement, and it looks like the paparazzi was well aware of where she was headed. In a series of photos shared by The Daily Mail, Selena stunned in a chic white bikini on the shore, bronzing her curvy body and looking happier than ever. While users in the newspaper's comments section can often be harsh, it didn't look like fans had a bad word to say about Selena.

Adding in full briefs as she went high-waisted, the "Love On" hitmaker flashed her flat tummy and shapely waistline while flaunting her toned legs, oozing confidence and smiling in many of the photos.

Rocking a high ponytail as she kept her dark locks away from her face, Selena threw in a stylish pair of hoop earrings, otherwise steering clear of accessories as she kept her look simple. Wearing a light layer of tinted moisturizer, the Emilia Perez star showed off a beyond-healthy glow, something that users in the comments more than picked up on.

"Lovely natural pictures of a beautiful happy young woman" was a comment gaining over 2,000 upvotes. "She looks amazing and HEATHLY!!" another said, with a third adding: "Selena looks beautiful, happy and healthy!! I am so happy for her!!"

Selena Gomez went viral within minutes earlier this month as she shared her stunning swimsuit body over the Fourth of July. Striking a figure-flaunting pose as she soaked up rays over the holiday, the "Wolves" singer rocked a bright yellow one-piece that instantly sold out, also making headlines for spending Independence Day with boyfriend Benny Blanco, 36.

Selena joins the list of stars who have been body-shamed by trolls.

“I was getting a lot of hate for my body and ‘you’re gaining weight’ [commentary] and so I was in Mexico and I was just feeling all of this stuff and I would be lying to you if I said it didn’t kind of hurt my feelings, but I kind of channeled that into my music,” the Rare Beauty founder revealed in 2015.

Times have changed, though, as fans continue to support Selena in her curvier, 2024 era. Many remain respectful that the star's weight can fluctuate as she continues to battle her Lupus condition.
