Riley Strain was last seen on March 8, bar-hopping in downtown Nashville alongside members of his fraternity.
Reports indicate that around 9:35 p.m., he was asked to leave Luke Bryan's bar and had planned to meet his fraternity brothers at their hotel. However, upon their return hours later, Riley wasn't there.
Following a comprehensive two-week search, Riley's remains were located in a nearby river. Preliminary findings from toxicology and the autopsy concluded that the 22-year-old's death was accidental, resulting from drowning, with no indications of foul play.
While the investigation has ended, new alleged video surveillance footage has been leaked, showing Riley Strain stumbling down the stairs after he was asked to leave the Nashville bar.
Riley Strain Was Last Seen At Luke Bryan's Bar
Before Riley's body was found, a spokesperson from the TC Restaurant Group and Luke's 32 Bridge refuted claims of over-serving the student.
“During Riley’s visit to Luke’s 32 Bridge, our records show he purchased and was served one alcoholic drink and two waters," the establishment said at the time. "At 9:35 p.m., our security team made a decision based on our conduct standards to escort him from the venue through our Broadway exit at the front of our building. He was followed down the stairs with one member of his party."
"The individual with Riley did not exit and returned upstairs. Our prayers continue to be with Riley’s friends and family during this difficult time and for his safe return," the statement continued. "They quickly provided cops with any and all pertinent information in helping track Riley's whereabouts when he first disappeared last Friday—including handing over all the surveillance footage they had."
Now, new video footage shows some of the college student's final moments, including his failure to walk down a flight of stairs when asked to leave the bar.

In the new video footage, which has circulated on social media, viewers can see Riley Strain following a friend through a crowded bar to meet his other frat brothers at a table. Riley later follows a friend up to the bar, where the bar issued a warning—"verbally aggressive with staff, no entry."
This seems to be when security decides to kick Riley out of the establishment. As he is talking to security, one of the fraternity brothers comes over to see what is going on. After speaking to them for a few seconds, the brother then returns to the rest of the group, who are still at the table, to inform them what's happening, but by the time he gets there, security has already begun to escort Riley out.
Moments later, Riley is seen stumbling down the stairs out to Broadway alongside a security guard. None of his friends were seen walking down with him, and it is unclear why none of them went after their frat bro following his removal.
What Was The Student's Official Cause Of Death?
According to the autopsy report obtained by TMZ, Riley's cause of death was officially determined as accidental drowning exacerbated by ethanol intoxication. His blood alcohol content (BAC) at the time of examination was 0.228, nearly three times the legal limit for driving.
There were “traces of THC” found as well.
Tennessee Alcoholic Beverage Commission Releases Statement
TABC communication director Aaron Rummage told People Magazine earlier this year, “There are no specific rules or statutes that governs escorting out intoxicated patrons from their businesses or providing assistance in getting someone home."
"However, state law prohibits serving alcoholic beverages to someone who is visibly intoxicated," he added. "A violation is a class A misdemeanor. The TABC has opened an investigation into this matter to see if any violations have occurred.”
