Donald Trump Mocks Joe Biden For Saying 'Vice President Trump' During Press Conference

President Joe Biden's conference just came to an end, and as many have come to expect, it was filled with various gaffes and blunders.

One mistake in particular by Biden about his predecessor, Donald Trump, has already caused a stir on social media, with Trump himself reacting to it on his Truth Social platform.

The press conference has seemingly worsened Joe Biden's political standing, as a top Democrat, Connecticut Congressman Jim Himes, called for him to drop out of the presidential race.

Former President Trump, not one to miss a golden opportunity, has taken to his Truth Social platform to unleash a series of mocking posts aimed at Biden's press conference.

During the event, Biden made a mistake by referring to his vice president, Kamala Harris, as "Vice President Trump."

Taking note of this gaffe, Trump posted a clip of the moment online, along with the caption, "Crooked Joe begins his 'Big Boy' Press Conference with, 'I wouldn't have picked Vice President Trump to be vice president, though I think she was not qualified to be president.' Great job, Joe!"

In another post, Trump mocked Biden's stutter, writing, "I'm following the advice of my commander-in-chief...my...my...my..."

In a final post on his platform, Trump claimed that "Crooked Joe has a case of Trump Derangement Syndrome!"

After Biden's press conference, social media has been in disarray due to his shocking "Vice President Trump" gaffe.

Several people claim it has further worsened his credibility, as many call his mental acuity into question.

One angry person wrote on X (formerly Twitter), "IT WAS THE MOST IMPORTANT SPEECH OF YOUR CAREER. YOU ARE LITERALLY [THE] LAST HOPE FOR DEMOCRACY TRYING TO FIGHT CLAIMS YOU'RE MENTALLY INCOMPETENT AND YOU SAID 'VICEPRESIDENTTRUMP.'"

Another said, "Wait sorry, I thought I misunderstood but he actually called Zelenskyy' President Putin' and then Kamala Harris' VicePresidentTrump' within 24 hours?? Very publicly??? During a time [when] his campaign is trying to convince the public that he can hold office effectively?"

A third person noted, "He absolutely cannot be the nominee. This is him 'at his best,' and he's still slurring and making me want to scream. I am so SICK of these geriatric F-CKS refusing to step down and f-cking everything up!!!!! He just called Kamala' VicePresidentTrump' as I was typing. CHRIST!!"

Before his press conference, Biden caused a stir on social media due to his delayed appearance. The event,  which was initially scheduled for 5:30 pm, was moved to 6:30 pm, and even after that, it still didn't start on time.

According to a White House official who spoke to the New York Post, the press conference was delayed "due to [the] NATO schedule," which also started later than it was supposed to on Thursday.

Due to the heightened calls for his withdrawal, many wonder about the reason for the press conference.

"I feel like the narrative needs to change. So either Dems need to get behind Biden or he needs to step aside. But we are losing time," a Democratic source told the news outlet. "His press conference is another make-or-break moment."

The source further noted that there are no signs that Biden and his team plan to withdraw from the 2024 race.

"I have heard folks around him are more dug in," the source continued. "It's just hard to know because the circle is getting smaller."

After his disastrous debate with Trump, Biden delivered an impassioned speech at a rally in North Carolina, in which he seemingly admitted that his performance was underwhelming.

"Folks, I don't walk as easy as I used to, I don't speak as smoothly as I used to, I don't debate as well as I used to," the 81-year-old told the crowd of supporters.

In his remarks, he took a shot at Trump, who has been accused of lying to the voters on several occasions in recent months.

Biden added, "But I know what I do know: I know how to tell the truth. "I know right from wrong,"

During his NC rally, Biden made sure to throw a direct jab at his political opponent, noting that Trump poses a "genuine threat" to America.

"He's a threat to our freedom. He's a threat to our democracy. Is literally a threat to everything America stands for," he added.

The incumbent then urged voters to choose him, promising to uphold the virtues of democracy, which he believes Trump seeks to destroy if he gets reelected in November.

Biden continued, "The choice in this election is simple: Donald Trump will destroy democracy; I will defend it."
