Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck have officially listed their Beverly Hills mansion for $68 million, a significant price increase from the original $60 million they paid.
Amid divorce rumors and reports of living apart, Lopez is allegedly seeking a chunk of Affleck's fortune, feeling wronged by the end of their two-year marriage.
However, despite their marital woes, Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez's children are reportedly hoping for a reconciliation before Lopez's 55th birthday on July 24.
Jennifer Lopez And Ben Affleck List Newly Renovated Beverly Hills Mansion For $68 Million
Lopez and Affleck have publicly listed their marital home for a staggering $68 million. This bold decision comes as they attempt to offload the recently renovated 12-bedroom, 24-bathroom estate.
The 38,000-square-foot property, now on MLS, boasts numerous recent upgrades and improvements made over the past four months.
Though the couple initially tried to sell the mansion discreetly, they have now chosen to take it to the public market.
Affleck and Lopez, who got married in 2022, bought their Beverly Hills mansion in 2023 for just over $60 million after more than two years of searching.
Despite their efforts to find the perfect home, they're now listing it for $68 million. However, they're unlikely to make a significant profit due to the recent renovations and the mansion tax in L.A., which could eat into their potential gains from the sale.
The move to publicly list their home for sale comes after Affleck was spotted driving to work without his wedding ring.
The Couple 'Never Liked' The Mansion
The Hollywood stars spent months searching for the palatial home and reportedly checked out 80 properties after tying the knot in 2022 before settling for the Beverly Hills behemoth.
As rumors of marital discord swirl around the couple, TMZ reported that they "quietly" hired realtor Santiago Arana from The Agency to sell the property as divorce between the pair was "imminent."
The reason for their decision to sell the property was also revealed. An insider told People magazine that Affleck and Lopez didn't like it because of its distance from his kids and its huge size.
"Ben never liked the house. It's too far away from his kids," a source close to Lopez shared, adding that the "Love Dont Cost A Thing" singer also thought that "the house is way too big for her.
Jennifer Lopez Allegedly Plans To Seek Half Of Ben Affleck's Fortune
A Radar Online report alleged that Lopez is seeking half of Affleck's $150 million fortune, despite her $400 million net worth after realizing he "mooched" off her during their two-year marriage.
A source claims that the "Let's Get Loud" singer is demanding a "full inventory of what she spent versus what he spent and wants all the money back she has invested."
The source added that Lopez feels betrayed by Affleck's departure from their marriage, noting: "She isn't the one who gave up on their marriage, and she's feeling seriously burned and is out for blood."
They continued, "If he had stayed in the marriage like a good boy, she wouldn't have minded. But he abandoned her and ultimately, Jennifer always gets payback and now she's ready to play hardball."
Jennifer Lopez & Ben Affleck's Kids Push For Peaceful Family Celebration Ahead Of The Singer's Birthday
Amid ongoing divorce rumors, Daily Mail has learned that Lopez and Affleck's children are actively trying to help them reconcile.
A source revealed that Affleck's kids—Violet, 18, Fin, 15, and Samuel, 12—and Lopez's 16-year-old twins, Max and Emme, believe they "are really, deeply in love, like soul mates and they don't want them to divorce."
The insider noted: "They want them to work it out for better or for worse, like their vows said. And they do feel that the two should continue counseling and talking it out, even if it is painful. They feel like if they do and say the right things that there could be more peace."
According to the source, the children are encouraging continued counseling and hope for a resolution before Lopez's 55th birthday on July 24. They aim for a mellow family party in Los Angeles.
There Is A 'Sliver Of Hope' For Jennifer Lopez And Ben Affleck's Marriage
Us Weekly also recently reported that there is a "sliver of hope" for Lopez and Affleck's reconciliation. According to a source, "Jennifer suggested they take time to figure things out."
Another insider revealed that Bennifer 2.0 "still hasn't made a decision" on splitting. "They are going through so much individually and as a couple. They may take some time to see if this complicated moment can resolve itself and they come back to each other [as] better people."
Their last public sighting together was on June 2 at Samuel's basketball game, when they shared an awkward kiss.
