For over four decades, Pat Sajak and Vanna White have been the hosts of "Wheel of Fortune" since 1983, but that chapter has come to an end as Sajak announced his retirement.
Shortly thereafter, it was revealed that "American Idol" host Ryan Seacrest would be taking over, but rumors recently circulated that Vanna White contemplated departing "Wheel of Fortune" because of her relationship with Seacrest.
However, Vanna White took to Instagram earlier this week to squash those rumors, showing that the two are friends.
Rumors Surrounding Vanna White Suggest Her Backing Away From America's Game
As The Blast previously reported, an insider told the DailyMail, that the letter-turner does not "jibe" with Seacrest and was considering leaving the show before her contract ends in 2026.
"Vanna is retiring from the show when her contract ends, but there is a part of her that wants to walk away sooner," the insider said. "It is just so difficult to do this without Pat She just doesn't jibe with Ryan like she did with Pat, and no one really ever expected her to. There is just no way that she possibly could."
"She knows that the show needs to go in a different direction and appeal to a younger demographic. She wants the show to continue," the insider added. "This will require a younger female host, someone who can be to Ryan what she was to Pat."
However, a recent Instagram post seems to say otherwise.

The pair, who are "friends on and off camera," recently enjoyed one of their favorite meals together: chicken and dumplings! In response to White's sweet Instagram post, which showed the pair sitting at a dinner table, Ryan Seacrest said, "Always a treat! Here’s to more fun moments and delicious bites."
This isn't the first time Seacrest has commented on his relationship with White. Earlier this year, he expressed how the new hosting gig allows him to "work with the legendary Vanna White."
"I've been watching the show all my life, and I've been watching it as much as I can as an adult and as a child," the "Idol" host admitted. "I think that this is a show that means so much to a lot of people. It's a part of their lives, they like to get together at the end of the day and try and solve the puzzles."
Vanna White Says Ryan Seacrest Is 'Such A Nice Guy'
The 67-year-old "Wheel of Fortune" letter-turner previously said she spoke with Ryan Seacrest soon after learning he would be taking over as host.
"I know Ryan — he is professional, he's good at what he does, he's kind. I think it's going to be good. He's such a nice guy and he loves what he does," she said last year, per Deadline.
Seacrest later said, “I’m truly humbled to be stepping into the footsteps of the legendary Pat Sajak. I can say, along with the rest of America, that it’s been a privilege and pure joy to watch Pat and Vanna on our television screens for an unprecedented 40 years, making us smile every night and feel right at home with them."
Ryan Seacrest Talks Replacing Pat Sajak On 'Wheel Of Fortune'
When it was first announced that Seacrest would take over Sajak's position, he admitted, "No one can ever do what Pat has done."
"He is incredible," the "American Idol" host told People earlier this year. "He has made that show just something so very special for so long, and he has done such a seamless, remarkable job, so no one can be him."
"So, do I feel pressure? Sure," he added. "People love watching him. I want them to keep love watching it, and I hope to do a great job as well."
Pat Sajak To Return To 'Wheel Of Fortune'
Last year, the "Wheel of Fortune" alum announced he would be stepping away from America's game after four decades.
"Well, the time has come,” Sajak said in a statement last summer. “I’ve decided that our 41st season, which begins in September, will be my last. It’s been a wonderful ride, and I’ll have more to say in the coming months. Thanks to you all.”
While he is done hosting the regular "Wheel of Fortune," according to The Hollywood Reporter, Pat Sajak will return to the stage as host one last time for ABC‘s "Celebrity Wheel of Fortune," which is set to premiere on October 7.
