“Real Housewives of Miami” alum Lea Black is finally breaking her silence in regard to the upcoming fourth season of the reality series.
While appearing on the radio show of Jeff Lewis, “Jeff Lewis Live,” Black shared her thoughts on the impending return of the Florida-based show, which is expected to air on NBCUniversal’s streaming service, Peacock.
“What I know is it hasn’t been green lit. It is pre-development and they are trying to get a cast together,” Black explained, according to a February 26 report from Yahoo! Entertainment.
Lea Black Never Said She Wasn’t Interested In Appearing On ‘RHOM’ Season Four
According to Black, everyone and their brother has their publicists working overtime to try and get press traction in hopes of the show being officially picked up for season four.
“Everyone but you,” Lewis noted.
“Yeah, because I don’t do that. I don’t like to do that. It’s not my thing,” Black explained.
Then, when Lewis pointed out that TMZ had shared a report claiming that she had said she was interested in returning, Black denied there was any truth to the report.
Lea Black Doesn’t Feel It’s Her Place To Comment On Casting
“I haven’t told anybody that I was interested or not interested,” she said. “I haven’t commented to anybody. In fact, I get 20 press requests a day. I haven’t even returned them all. On all the comments on my social media I just put an emoji. I either put a thank you or a smile.”
“I haven’t said anything to anybody because it’s not my place,” Black continued. Listen, Bravo doesn’t like people speaking for them. I’m assuming Peacock doesn’t like people speaking for them.”
Joanna Krupa No Longer Lives In Florida
Black doesn’t want to insert herself into the ongoing rumors regarding the cast of “The Real Housewives of Miami” because she believes that those working on the series “are trying to control the narrative.”
“Who knows what their agenda is. It’s not my thing,” she stated.
As for the reports claiming Joanna Krupa confirmed she would not be appearing on the new season, Black revealed that was true.
“She did. She went on the record and said that. I did not. Somebody sent me the article and I called her and I played phone tag but I know she said that because I read it and it sounds like something she would say and she was from the very beginning saying she wasn’t interested. She doesn’t live in Miami anymore,” Black shared.
Lea Black Doesn’t Know Who’s In Talks To Appear On ‘RHOM’
Black went on to say that while a number of her former cast mates would love to be considered for “The Real Housewives of Miami” season four, she’s not sure which of them will potentially be chosen.
“I don’t know who they’re considering and who they’re not. They all want on there but I don’t know who they’re really going to consider. I know they’re looking for people in Miami. That I know because I’ve had a ton of people call me and say they’ve been reached out to,” she revealed.
