Rapper Ice Cube is blasting Warner Bros. after claiming it is responsible for halting the production of the latest 'Friday' franchise sequels.

The legendary rapper took to Instagram to hammer the Hollywood heavyweight and plead with fans to pressure them to allow the projects to go forward.

As you know, 'Friday' is one of the most popular and quoted films in the past few decades, and spawned several sequels following the release of the first film.

It's unclear if Ice Cube has completed the next film, or if he has something else in mind for the movie's classic characters. Either way, he is taking his argument to the people!

The legendary rapper included a cartoon version of the cast of the first 'Friday' film, leading many to believe he may be in productions of an animated version of the film.

As you can imagine, fans flooded Cube's IG with messages of support and a few not-so-nice messages to the studio.

Ice Cube got support from several celebrity friends, including Dog The Bounty Hunter's daughter who posted, "Just make one called Saturday ?."

The point is interesting...it's unclear if Ice Cube is unable to make any film using the phrase 'Friday' -- or if Warner Bros. owns the rights to anything associated with characters in the movie. This poses the question...Why can't he just make the movie with another studio?!

"We all can come together to help, it helped Dave Chappelle get his name back," one fan wrote. Another added, "That's crazy, we need that asap. This definitely needed to be a cartoon ?."

One fan put it simply, "F--k Warner bros."

Obviously, Ice Cube isn't doing it for the money -- he is one of the wealthiest stars in Hollywood and just launched his own cannabis company.

As we reported, the rapper partnered with a company called 'Caviar God' to create a product line known as 'Fryday Kush.' , "From the man that needs no introduction -- these infused cones & high potency buds are the strongest nugs on the market, personally developed by Ice Cube," the company announced.

At this point, Warner Bros. has not responded to the allegations they are holding up the next film.
