'RHONJ' Star Dolores Catania Talks Falling Out With Dina Manzo

Dolores Catania opened up about the falling out between her and Dina Manzo on a recent episode of the "Everything Iconic with Danny Pellegrino" podcast.

While appearing on the podcast alongside her "Real Housewives of New Jersey" co-star, Margaret Josephs, Catania was asked if she'd like to see Manzo make a future appearance on the Bravo reality show.

“Well, Dina lives in California now, so I don’t think so. No, no. It [was] boring then,” she confessed, according to a report from All About the Real Housewives on February 26.

Catania went on to say that when it came to their current estrangement, she and Manzo no longer speak because Manzo seemingly wanted to distance herself from all things "Real Housewives of New Jersey" after leaving the series years ago. 

“We just went our separate ways, I guess. Some people like to move on from another life and like to leave what’s behind them for a reason, I guess, whatever reason that is," Catania stated. "Maybe they think you know too much about them, or maybe they’re not who they say they are. Whatever the case is.”

When Catania was then asked to elaborate on who Manzo is, Catania refused, telling the host, “Who cares?”

As "Real Housewives of New Jersey" fans well know, Manzo was featured in a full-time position on the show for its first and second seasons and later returned in a "friend" role for season six. 

One year later, Catania joined the cast in a full-time position for season seven.

Years after leaving the show, Manzo appeared on SiriusXM’s "Jeff Lewis Live," where she addressed the end of her friendship with Catania. 

“Dolores and I were super close. Like season one, she was actually one of the original cast members that was supposed to come on as my best friend because we were best friends,” Manzo recalled. 

Manzo then explained that it was a moment that went down between them that ended their friendship for good.

“We were on vacation once with our kids that my ex was flipping the bill [for],” she shared. “[Dolores] was on the phone with someone who didn’t really care for my ex-husband. And she didn’t know that I could hear the conversation like the cell phone was loud."

"He was trashing Tommy and his brother, and she was like, ‘Yeah, yeah. They ain’t no good.’ And here I am, hearing the whole thing. It turned me off so much. [I’m like] fine, if you’re not going to defend them, just say I gotta go, hang up or whatever,” Manzo continued.

“That’s what made me take a step back from our relationship," she added.
