Gymnast Nastia Liukin Braless In Sheer Popularity Showoff

Olympic gymnast Nastia Liukin is quite literally celebrating her own popularity while braless. The 31-year-old five-time Olympic medalist, who has been counting down to her Nastia Cup for days, has now reached the big day this year being held in Indianapolis, Indiana. Nastia's 12th annual hosting of the aspiring young gymnast event came with the mother of all show-offs on the Russian-born star's Instagram today, with Friday bringing those 1 million followers yet another pink treat - with a twist. Scroll for the photos. They come as Nastia, who is a member of a Facebook group called "50 Shades of Pink," makes headlines for her massive thigh gap countdown, with photos seeing the 2008 all-around champion update each day with a different, all-pink look.

Ditching the Barbie doll Chanel and ruffle cowgirl outfits for something gymnastics, Nastia updated in a sheer gauze, pink-and-black leotard with a racy finish, plus ultra-snazzy silver metallic pants all tight and matching a fitted jacket.

The outdoor shots, seeing Liukin flicking her big blonde ponytail around, came with the star arching her back a little and removing her jacket, also showing off her own popularity as the leotard read: "THE NASTIA CUP" on the back.

"Because it’s the (nastia) cup TODAY! fashion — but make it gymnastics ? today’s the day and here’s this year’s #nastiacup leotard. tune in on NBC Sports Network @ 2:30pm EST," Nastia captioned the shots, encouraging her followers to tune TF in.

Nastia's Cup countdown hasn't come without its headlines. Most notably was the all-pink Chanel look shouting out 31-year-old singer Taylor Swift as Liukin wrote:

"Today’s countdown to the cup post inspired by tswift - while re-watching her documentary it reminded me yet once again that we really all can still inspire others while fighting and speaking for what we believe in - without getting cancelled."

Nastia, who has not clapped back to these particular comments, has, however, made major headlines for firing back. When a fan DM asked how Nastia feels about "promoting borderline anorexia looking bodies" last year, the gymnast replied:

"If taking pictures of my OWN body — a body that won me many Olympic medals, a body that I push each day to get stronger, a body that God gave me — is inherently promoting anorexia, then honestly, we've gotten to a place in the world where just BEING is offensive."
