'RHOSLC' Star Whitney Rose Confirms Dad 'Disappeared' At Reunion

Whitney Rose's dad, Steve, is no longer doing as well as he was months ago. 

Following a number of exciting updates in regard to Steve and his addiction issues last year, Rose appeared at the first-ever "Real Housewives of Salt Lake City" reunion, where she admitted that she and Steve are currently estranged. 

After Andy Cohen asked for an update at the taping, Rose told the host,  via a report from The Daily Dish, “Currently, I don’t know. He’s not speaking to me.”

“We actually, after the show, had built back a very beautiful foundation, and we were communicating very well,” Rose explained of her past relationship with her father. 

Unfortunately, after Steve ventured to Rose's place to celebrate her birthday as a family, things between them took a turn for the worse, likely due to his ongoing struggles with addiction. 

“He came and saw me for my birthday, and I never saw him again," Rose confirmed, adding that she's attempted to get in touch with her dad regularly.

"He’s disappeared, he won’t respond to me," Rose continued. 

According to Rose, she was in a great place with her father last year and felt that the two of them would be watching the "Real Housewives of Salt Lake City" reunion special as a family. 

"I saw this going very differently. I saw us watching together and celebrating. There’s so many opportunities for him to change his life, especially now with this platform. I still want people to root for him. That’s what he needs. He needs love," Rose explained. 

As part three of the three-part reunion special for the debut season of "The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City" went on, Rose told Andy that despite the dire situation she's currently in with Steve, she has continuously made an effort to get in touch with him and hopes to soon hear back. 

“I text him probably every other day. Or at least every fifth day,” she explained, adding that the text messages she sent have gone through and been confirmed as "delivered."

In November of last year, Rose shared a series of videos on Instagram of her dad at her home and told her fans and followers that she was "so proud" of Steve for sharing her struggles with viewers. 

"I am so proud of my father for sharing his journey battling addiction. I will always be my daddy’s girl," she gushed.

"The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City" cast has reportedly begun filming its second season. However, at this point in time, it is not yet known which cast members will return.
