According to multiple reports, the ‘Born In The USA’ singer was present for a virtual hearing in federal court Wednesday, where prosecutors announced the singer’s blood alcohol was well below the legal limit after his arrest.

“I had two small shots of tequila,” the singer admitted in his famous raspy voice during the hearing.
After confessing to having a drink in the closed federal space, prosecutors announced the Boss was well below the legal limit to be driving. Bruce was only 0.02, which is far below the state’s legal limit while driving which is 0.08.
So, federal prosecutors dismissed the DUI charge, as well as the reckless driving.
As we reported, Springsteen was arrested and charged after being caught by a park ranger downing shots of tequila with a group of fans who caught the rock star passing by on his motorcycle. He has zero other criminal records, his legal team noted.

As for the singer’s blood alcohol level, “It’s actually low enough that the defendant would be considered presumptively not impaired under New Jersey law,” the US Attorney said.
Adding, “We do look to New Jersey law as persuasive guidance.”
In the end, the judge said he would impose a $540 fine on the rocker, calling it an ‘appropriate punishment in this case. The best part, the judge asked the famous singer how long it would take for him to pay the fine which prompted a smile from his lawyer.
“I think I can pay that immediately, Your Honor,” Springsteen said.
Interestingly, the Zoom-style arraignment attracted 170 spectators and media who viewed the virtual court hearing.
