The new Prime Minister didn't shy away from bashing the Conservative Party's long reign, saying hope was "shining once again on a country with the opportunity after 14 years to get its future back." He continued:
"And I want to thank each and every one of you here for campaigning so hard for change and not just in this campaign either. Also, for these four and a half years changing our party."

The Labour Party Leader Vows To Bring Forth A 'National Renewal'
The video's conclusion captured Starmer's passionate vow to ensure change is enforced during his reign. He stressed that his goal comes with "great responsibility" but noted his willingness to work with citizens to achieve a brighter future.
"Our task is nothing less than renewing the ideas that hold this country together. A national renewal," Starmer declared, stating that no matter who or where in life a person was, they should be given a fair chance as long as they played by the rules.
"It should always respect your contribution, and we have to restore that," the politician concluded. CNN shared more details about his speech, noting he promised his government would try to "defy, quietly, those who have written our country off."

In his speech, Starmer opened up about his goal to unite the country and stressed that the four nations of the United Kingdom need to work together. He noted they would confront “the challenges of an insecure world, committed to a calm and patient rebuilding.”
"With respect and humility, I invite you all to join this government of service in a mission of national renewal. Our work is urgent, and we begin it today," the 61-year-old said. As stated, he assumed the role of Prime Minister after a landslide victory against the Conservative Party.

President Joe Biden Falls Behind Polls After Subpar Debate Performance
While the UK celebrates its newest Prime Minister, across the Atlantic in the United States of America, things are not looking good for President Joe Biden.
The 81-year-old has fallen behind in the ongoing presidential race, with his biggest competitor, Donald Trump, leading the polls.
Biden's numbers significantly declined after his underwhelming debate performance reportedly sparked concerns about his age. Many seemed to believe he was too old to lead the country, according to a new poll from The New York Times and Siena College.
Trump currently leads Biden by 49% to 43% among likely voters nationally. This is the largest lead the former president has recorded in a Times/Siena poll since 2015.
Meanwhile, 74% of voters view Biden as too old for the job, a significant increase since the tragic debate night, per The New York Times.
