The actress has been an inspiration to many throughout her acting career. But in recent years, she has faced her toughest battles yet, revealing her diagnosis of Multiple Sclerosis and her daughter's fight with POTS.  

Armed with a newfound perspective, Christina Applegate is making the most of each moment by trading scripts for "bucket list" adventures.

Known for her humor and resilience, Applegate opened up about her aspirations amidst her battle with multiple sclerosis (MS), which she has been facing since 2021. 

MS, an autoimmune disease impacting the central nervous system, has not deterred the "Married with Children" star from dreaming big and planning memorable moments for her future.

On Wednesday, Applegate took to X (formerly Twitter) to reveal some of her bucket list items, which included major stars. In the heartfelt post she shared:

"There are things I want to do with the days I have left in life. I want to work with Shirley MacLaine   And do shots with cher! And yes my days are so big. Just saying."

Another expressed heartfelt sentiments, writing, "I wish you fulfillment of all your remaining dreams. You're the best!"

The support continued with another admirer describing Applegate as a "beautiful woman inside and out," adding, "I hope you get to do everything you ever wanted and more. Best to you!" 

The sentiment was echoed by this userwho enthusiastically noted, "I second that!" Others joined in, cheering on Applegate to pursue her bucket list wholeheartedly, with one gushing, "I love this! Go after it girl!"

Since opening up about her multiple sclerosis diagnosis, Applegate embraced transparency, sharing her journey with her fans. 

Despite the challenges posed by the disease, the actress demonstrated her commitment to her craft, completing the acclaimed series "Dead to Me."

Throughout her career, Applegate received multiple SAG Award nominations for her stellar performances. However, she hinted that the 2023 SAG Awards might mark a significant milestone in her career. 

The Blast reported that Applegate candidly discussed her future plans post-ceremony, stating:

"It's my last awards show as an actor, probably, so it's kind of a big deal. Right now, I couldn't imagine getting up at 5 a.m. and spending 12 to 14 hours on a set; I don't have that in me at this moment."

The mother-of-one's decision to step back from acting was not made lightly, judging by the careful consideration she put into planning her future.

Applegate revealed that she would opt for a new path that involves "doing a sh-t ton of voice-overs to make some cash." She shared her reasoning, emphasizing the need to secure a stable future for her daughter, Sadie.

Aside from her professional shift, Applegate admitted to indulging in plenty of downtime, binge-watching reality television shows she never had time for before. 

Surprisingly, she confessed to avoiding her own Netflix comedy due to the discomfort of seeing herself struggle on screen. "I gained 40 pounds because of inactivity and medications. I didn't look like myself, and I didn't feel like myself," she revealed.

Despite these challenges, Applegate eventually braved watching her own show alone, admitting she had to pause during emotional moments.

As she revisited her work with a fresh perspective, she found herself distancing "from my own ego and realized what a beautiful piece of television it was. All the scenes I wasn't in were so much fun to see and experience for the very first time."

Christina Applegate Cheers On Daughter Amid POTS Diagnosis

While battling multiple sclerosis (MS), the 52-year-old was faced with another health challenge, this time alongside her daughter, Sadie. 

In a heartfelt episode of her podcast "MeSsy," Applegate opened up about Sadie's diagnosis of postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome (POTS) per The Blast.

The 13-year-old bravely shared her experience, revealing, "When I stand up, I get really, really dizzy, and my legs get really weak, and I feel like I'm going to pass out."

In response, the doting mother expressed with emotion, "I hate it for you, my darling. I really hate it for you." Applegate also reassured Sadie, stating:

"I'm sad. But I love you, and I know you're going to be OK. And I'm here for you, and I believe you."

The actress-turned-podcast host then thanked her daughter for shedding light on POTS and raising awareness about the condition.
