Simone Biles Is Paris-Bound In New Selfie: 'Bonjour'

Simone Biles is ready to say "Bonjour!" to the 2024 Olympics as she packs her leotards and sports tape and heads to Paris!
At 27, she made history on Sunday, becoming the oldest American woman to join an Olympic gymnastics team since the 1950s. She secured a spot on Team USA alongside Suni Lee, Jordan Chiles, Jade Carey, and Hezly Rivera.
The fab five are incredibly excited to travel across the world, as each posted on social media, but Simone Biles's selfie was certainly Olympic-worthy.
Simone Biles Says 'Bonjour' After Being Named As Part Of Team USA
Wearing a black beret and blowing a kiss to the camera, the seven-time Olympian snapped a selfie in her white Team USA jacket and her "Owens" necklace.
"Bonjour," she wrote in the top right corner alongside a red lipstick kiss emoji.
After making Team USA, Biles thanked her co-coaches Cecile and Laurent Landi, “I knew I wasn’t done after the performances in Tokyo. Getting back in the gym and trusting the process with Cecile and Lauren. I knew I’d be back.”
Suni Lee also spoke to reporters after her name was called on Sunday night, opening up about how much this opportunity means to her.
"I was just reminded of my goals every day and constantly surrounded by people who never let me give up, and I’m so thankful," Lee said. "A year ago, I didn’t even think this was—" she started to say, before being overcome by tears and emotions. Chiles immediately comforted her and wiped the tears from her face.
After composing herself, she praised the "amazing ladies" who stood beside her and added, "I can’t wait to be in Paris!"

Jade Carey can't believe she is going to Paris! This marks her second Olympic appearance, having previously competed in the Tokyo 2020 Olympics.
"Life update: I’m going to PARIS!!" she captioned a photo of herself holding the iconic Olympic boutique after her name was called. "faire confiance au processes."
"Congrats Jade!!! You deserve this. This is my favorite picture," one of her fans commented.
"Wore my Jade sweatshirt to church yesterday in support of you!" another said. "As greeter at church, I got to tell so many about how great you are as both gymnasts and a lovely soul. Sooooooo excited and happy for you! What great performances at trials!!!

After the big night, Jordan Chiles posted a photo on Instagram, her arms raised, and a beaming smile on her face. "Guys, guess what???? I’m going to the Ahhhhh Olympics!!!" she captioned it.
Fans immediately flooded the comments section, expressing their love for the gymnast. "I KNEW you would. You slayed it," one user commented. "So grateful you will bring your talent and superhero personality to the games and I will get to see you make your statement. I have to say thank you. 16-year-old Hezley Rivera made headlines after her name was called Sunday night, being the youngest member of Team USA. Following the news, the New Jersey native took to Instagram to express her gratitude.
"24’ OLYMPIC TEAM," she wrote. "Philippians 4:13 wow."
Fans instantly showed their support for the newcomer as one user expressed, "When I say I was in tears to see and hear your name as one of the 'phenomenal 5' athletes to represent gymnastics team USA, speechless!"
"Congrats Hez! So so proud of you and all the hard work you’ve put in to achieve this dream!" another commented.

During the Olympic Trials, Simone Biles left no crumbs after her floor routine, with a soundtrack featuring Taylor Swift's “… Ready For It?” and the dynamic “Delresto (Echoes)” by Travis Scott and Beyoncé.
The iconic floor routine, which has since gone viral for good reason, kicks off with a bang as the electrifying heavy beats of Swift’s “… Ready For It?” take over the gymnasium, instantly setting the stage. She then wasted no time wowing the crowd as her first tumbling pass ended with a triple-double, one of the hardest moves in the sport.
To no surprise, social media was sent into a frenzy after seeing the near-perfect performance. One fan expressed, "She is phenomenal... she is GOLD!!!" as another chimed in, "Phenomenal, and the music choice."
