Simone Biles, 27, is making history once again as the oldest American woman to make an Olympic gymnastics team since the 1950s.

She, alongside Suni Lee, Jordan Chiles, Jade Carey, and Hezly Rivera, will be the face of Team USA at the 2024 Paris Olympics, which kick off on July 26.

Jonathan Owens, who was in the crowd cheering on Simone Biles alongside her family at the Olympic Trials, showed his pride in his wife on social media hours after the gymnast made history.

"No words can describe how proud of you I am, baby," he began. "Just knowing all the work that you put in and everything that you’ve been through, and to still come back and be as dominant as ever, I was speechless."

As The Blast previously reported, Simone dropped out of the 2020 Tokyo Olympics due to mental health struggles, citing the "twisties." Since then, the 27-year-old has sought professional help and continues seeing her therapist weekly.

Watch Her Taylor Swift-Inspired Floor Routine

Simone made headlines over the weekend for her incredible floor performance, featuring Taylor Swift's "...Ready For It" and “Delresto (Echoes)” by Travis Scott and Beyoncé. It gained so much attention that even Ms. Swift herself reacted to the routine.

"Watched this so many times and still unready. She’s ready for it tho," Swift wrote on X, per People Magazine.

The now-viral floor routine drew inspiration by the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, a groundbreaking contemporary dance company founded by Ailey in 1958.

“I wanted to have an Alvin Ailey mindset just because of what they represented,” Grégory Milan, the French choreographer behind the routine, told the New York Times of Simone's floor routine.

“At the beginning, I had in mind that she would do something that shows she’s emerging, that she’s breaking the barriers a bit of gymnastics to say: ‘It’s over now, I’m not a little girl anymore," he added. "After everything I’ve gone through, I’m now a businesswoman, I’m a married woman, I’m a happy woman.'”

The 2024 Paris Olympics kick off on July 26.
